Howww has Lola still not been adopted?!
LONG STAY DOG - LOLA A1914276 189 DAYS AND COUNTING.
189 days is far too long for a girl like Lola to keep waiting.
Lola is an 8-year-old, 48 lb, heartworm-negative sweetheart who has shown staff and volunteers just how loving, gentle, and easy she can be.
This girl LOVES her people. Lola is affectionate and happiest when she's spending time with someone. She'll lean right into you for pets, happily roll over for belly rubs, and may even sneak in a few little thank-you kisses.
She is easy to leash, walks well, and enjoys getting outside for a break from her kennel.
And Lola makes a wonderful adventure buddy!
On a recent Adventure Tails,, she jumped right into the car and was a great passenger. She enjoyed her walks, relaxed during breaks, and soaked up plenty of tummy rubs and scratches. She passed dogs of all types while out and barely paid attention to them.
LOLA HAS ALSO BEEN DOING GREAT IN PLAYGROUP!
Her most recent playgroup notes continue to describe her as:
✨ GENTLE & DAINTY
✨ TOLERANT
✨ Appropriate with greetings
✨ Accepts corrections from other dogs
Those same positive observations were documented on August 24, September 1, and again September 4. While Lola has occasionally shown some barrier reactivity toward other dogs at the shelter, it has not been consistent.
We also want to be transparent about why Lola originally came to PRC. She was surrendered after a bite occurred in her previous home when her owner attempted to separate a dog fight and Lola redirected during the incident.
Since arriving at PRC, however, Lola has been wonderful with the staff and volunteers caring for her.
After 189 DAYS, this sweet senior continues to be overlooked despite having so many qualities people search for in a companion.
Lola is affectionate.
Lola is polite.
Lola is easy to handle.
Lola enjoys her outings.
Lola has repeatedly shown gentle, tolerant behavior with other dogs in playgroup.
At 8 years old, Lola shouldn't be spending her senior years watching people walk past her kennel day after day.
189 days is enough.
She deserves a couch. She deserves belly rubs. She deserves someone to come home to.
Most of all, LOLA DESERVES A CHANCE.
Please help us get this beautiful girl SEEN and SHARED so her person can finally find her.
