Compassion is an awareness of others' suffering combined with a willingness to take action to relieve the suffering. We seek to ignite compassion in global citizens and inspire them to take action. We focus on the most pressing animal welfare and human rights issues around the globe. We envision a world with less suffering and more compassion; a conscious culture that extends its circle of compassion to all kinds regardless of race, gender, sexuality, religion or species.

Abandoned alongside three other puppies, she was the only survivor. Later, she became a mama, only to lose all of her babies. She was also hit by a car and left limping.

Britany has spent her entire life just trying to survive when all she deserved was love.

Now, this sweet 1.5 year old 14-pound girl desperately needs a foster home by TOMORROW.

Remy deserves to know what it feels like to be loved.

At just 6 months old, Remy has already experienced what no puppy should. She and her five siblings were found as strays, without a home or a family to call their own.

Instead of growing up surrounded by love and comfort, these babies were left to face the world together. 💔

Despite her rough start, Remy hasn’t lost her spark. She’s a spunky, independent little Chihuahua mix who loves playing with toys, digging in the mud, and splashing around in her baby pool. She plays hard, naps even harder, and has the most beautiful eyes—one blue and one brown. 🥹

She’s dog and kid-friendly, with potential to do well with cats.

Remy has spent the beginning of her life without a family of her own. We’re hoping the rest of her story looks a little different. A warm bed, a safe home, and someone who will love her forever.

She’s just a baby with her whole life ahead of her. All she needs is someone to give her a chance. ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support us yesterday at Dog Bar St Pete for Bath Day! We loved seeing so many familiar faces, meeting new furry friends, and giving lots of pups a good scrub! 🐶💕

Thank you to our incredible volunteers who donated their time and energy to make the day possible. A special thank you to Calling All Dogs & Cats Beacon Emergency Veterinary Hospital and Dapple Up Pup Healthy Shampoo🌿🫧 for helping sponsor the event to make it possible! We truly couldn’t do any of this without you!

💔 He was going to lose his life because he couldn’t stop wagging his tail.

Meet Gaetan. 🐾

Gaetan is a one-year-old terrier mix we rescued from Orlando County Animal Services, where he had landed on the euthanasia list for something absolutely heartbreaking: a happy tail.

For those unfamiliar, happy tail happens when a dog wags their tail so enthusiastically that they repeatedly injure it against hard surfaces, like kennel walls.

Gaetan was so excited every time someone walked past his kennel, so hopeful that maybe this time someone was coming for him, that he kept injuring his own tail.

He underwent multiple surgeries to try to correct the injuries, but the damage continued.

And eventually, he was placed on the euthanasia list.

Imagine losing your life because you were so happy to see people. Because every time someone passed your kennel, you couldn’t contain your excitement.

And the saddest part? Nobody ever chose him.

Until we did. ❤️

Gaetan is now safe in a loving foster home with someone who absolutely adores him. Unfortunately, his foster will be traveling throughout November and December, so we are looking for someone willing to open their home to this sweet boy.

The good news? This can be a short-term foster commitment! His current foster has generously offered to welcome him back in January if he hasn’t found a permanent home by then.

Of course, our greatest hope is that Gaetan finally finds the forever family he’s been waiting for.

After everything he’s been through, this little boy deserves a life where his happiness is celebrated, not punished.

We have two dogs that need an urgent pickup around 3:30pm today in Englewood. We had a transporter set but unfortunately due to circumstances out of our control, the initial transport was delayed and our transporter is no longer available at the new time.

365 days. One whole year of being overlooked. 💔

Baloo was saved just ONE hour before euthanasia. He was given a second chance at life, but a year later, he’s still waiting for someone to give him a home. 🥺

For 365 days, Baloo has watched life go by, waiting for his turn to be loved.

He’s only 2 years old. He’s cuddly, gentle, smart, house-trained, and fully vetted. He has everything anyone could want in a best friend, yet somehow, no one has chosen him. 💔

Baloo was saved from dying, but he deserves more than just surviving. He deserves a family.

A soft bed. A place to call home. Someone who will never leave him behind.

Please don’t let another year pass without Baloo knowing what it feels like to belong. ❤️

Our sweet Biscuit has a big surgery ahead of him. His front leg is broken in THREE places, injuries we suspect are the result of being hit by cars multiple times. 💔 Unfortunately, his leg cannot be saved, and he will be undergoing a full amputation.

Despite everything he’s endured, Biscuit is the happiest, sweetest little boy who just wants to cuddle, play with his toys, and be loved. 🧸❤️

URGENT FOSTER NEEDED BY FRIDAY FOR MOSSA!

Imagine being abandoned on the side of the road with your seven babies, in the pouring rain.

That’s exactly what happened to Mossa.

Her owner deliberately dumped her and her puppies, placing some of her babies inside iguana burrows and leaving Mossa in a cardboard box with the others on a rainy day.

A mother and her seven helpless babies, discarded as though their lives meant nothing.

Mossa deserved protection, kindness, and a safe place to raise her family. Instead, she was left to fend for herself in heartbreaking circumstances.

Now Mossa urgently needs a foster home by FRIDAY. She is around 1 year old and 25 pounds.

She’s already experienced the worst of humanity. We’re hoping someone will step forward and show her the very best.

URGENT FOSTER NEEDED BY FRIDAY FOR BRITANY!

Britany has survived more heartbreak than any dog should ever have to endure at only 18 months.

Abandoned when she was just a year old alongside three other puppies, Britany was the only one who survived. She later gave birth to puppies of her own, but tragically, none survived either.

Despite everything, Britany stayed in the same area, waiting every day for the kind person who brought her food. Then one day, she was found limping after being hit by a vehicle. Her rescuer begged for help, but no one came.

Britany has spent so much of her life being overlooked, struggling to survive, and losing everything she loved.

Now she urgently needs a foster home by FRIDAY. She is 1.5yrs and 14 pounds. After everything she’s endured, she deserves a safe, loving place to rest and finally know what it feels like to be cared for.

Please don’t let Britany be overlooked again.
