Sarasota Friends! Another rescue has a scared dog that got loose from a foster home in Sarasota/Siesta Key if anyone can help or has contacts there.

Looking for a volunteer trapper to help search for Nico who escaped his new foster home in Sarasota today. Please message this page if you know anyone that can help. He sees plastic airline type crates as a safe space. He has a harness and collar but no leash on. I hope this poor scared boy is found safe and sound asap! We are VERY WORRIED!

Update # 1) Last seen as of 2:06 am 10/21 On Cape aqua by Beach Road near Siesta Key Beach. Any trappers in the area? I'm worried sick!

We have some long time foster pups needing forever homes and we have 4 very special dogs in boarding who need forever homes! All will be highlighted here today. We also would love volunteers to take out Artie, Chloe, Polo and Rudy for a day out on the town, in your home snuggling, playing ball and giving them a quiet, less chaotic place to rest their weary heads❤️

FIRST UP this am - Rudy the Runner

Anyone want to take our Rudy today for a while?

🚨❤️ URGENT: FOSTER & ADOPTER NEEDED FOR RUDY THE RUNNER! ❤️🚨

We spent 30 days searching for Rudy, tracking his movements and working to bring him to safety. Now this precious little boy needs someone to help him discover just how beautiful life in a loving home can be. 🐾

Rudy survived on the streets for at least a month-we suspect longer. Today, he is discovering soft blankets, cozy couches, treats, and the comfort of being close to his person. He is timid, but so sweet and loving. He needs patience, reassurance, and a safe place to continue learning. ❤️

🐾 Approximately 8 months-1 year old
🐾 15-pound doxie mix
🐾 Loves snuggles, treats, and being with his person
🐾 Needs a calm, experienced foster or adopter
🐾 Ideally an only dog or with a very low-key dog
🐾 Still learning potty training and leash skills

🏡 CAN YOU BE RUDY'S SAFE PLACE?

Think of welcoming a puppy who needs to learn the basics. Rudy needs someone who will celebrate his progress, patiently guide him, and give him time to feel secure.

⚠️ HIS SAFETY REQUIREMENTS ARE NONNEGOTIABLE:
• A secure, enclosed, fenced yard.
• Double leashes, including a slip lead, EVERY time outside-even in the fenced yard.
• An experienced caregiver who understands that Rudy is a flight risk.

We worked too hard to bring him to safety to ever let him face those dangers again. 💔

🧙‍♀️ HOCUS POCUS… ARTIE NEEDS SOMEONE TO PUT A SPELL ON HIM. ❤️

But first, he needs to get out of boarding.

Artie is a 4-year-old, 65-lb Shepherd with Maxx & Me Pet Rescue, and his story is heartbreaking.

For more than a YEAR, Artie lived tied to a tree. When he was finally rescued, he was emaciated, covered in fleas, coughing and so severely heartworm positive that he needed emergency fast-kill treatment to save his life.

He fought his way through it.

Then Artie finally got a foster home, only to be attacked by another dog, leaving him with injuries that required an emergency vet visit and stitches.

And now he’s in boarding. 💔

After everything Artie has survived, he deserves a home where he can finally feel safe and stay safe.

🐾 May do well with sweet, non-aggressive dogs

A little kindness can make a BIG difference for our community cats! 💚

Through Pasco County Animal Services’ TNVR (Trap, Neuter/Spay, Vaccinate & Return) program, we’re helping our feline friends live healthier lives while reducing cat overpopulation! 🐈🐈‍⬛

***TNVR surgeries are completed at participating vet offices in Pasco County (List provided in the comments) - Please make an appointment prior to bringing a cat in for surgery, either scheduled with our approved local veterinary partners or with our Community Cat Coordinator (727-473-0015).

✨ Just $5 per cat! This includes:

🐾 Spay or neuter surgery

💉 Rabies and FVRCP vaccinations

✂️ Ear tipping for easy identification

🏡 Return them to their familiar outdoor home

No income requirements! Cats must come from Pasco County, appear healthy, weigh at least 3 pounds, and arrive in a feral cat trap.

💚 Together, we can make Pasco County a happier, healthier place for our community cats one paw at a time! 🐾
