A furry family is safe today because one person had a feeling and took the time to look again. 💓
Alberto was preparing to tear down an abandoned house on a construction site when he decided to do one extra walkthrough as a precaution.
Inside, he discovered a mama dog, Ummi, and her two puppies, Zoon and Muse, using the abandoned home as shelter. Knowing they needed help, he brought them to our shelter, ensuring they would have a chance at a better future. The next day, he returned to the property and found ANOTHER puppy, Mistie, who had been hiding. He brought her in to safety as well.
The photos you’re seeing were taken during playtime with mom and her puppies. As they’ve grown, they’ve reached the point where they can no longer safely share a kennel together, making these family moments even more special. We estimate the pups are about three months old and are already almost as big as mom! 🐾
We’re incredibly grateful to Alberto for taking the extra time to triple-check the property and for making sure these dogs got the help they needed. The family of four is healthy and still need to be spayed/neutered before they can be made available for adoption. 🥰🐶
