🪞 Magic mirror on the wall… who’s the goodest boy of all?

The mirror has spoken: It’s Rolly! 🎃

Rolly is about 2 years old and 81 lbs of playful, affectionate love. He gets the most adorable zoomies, enjoys walks and playtime, and will happily join you on the couch when the fun is over.

This social boy is great with dogs ranging from 20 lbs to more than 100 lbs and has lived with as many as eight dogs. He loves people just as much and will gladly accept all the attention and affection you’re willing to give.

Rolly is housetrained, knows “sit,” and is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.

The mirror already knows Rolly is a very good boy. Now he just needs someone to look at him and see their new best friend. ❤️

We delivered 300 jars of peanut butter and 67 KONGs to Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center earlier today, and LOOK AT THIS! 🥹🐾

The amazing staff and volunteers have already been hard at work filling the KONGs with peanut butter and getting them ready for the dogs!

These may seem like simple treats, but for dogs spending their days in shelter kennels, they provide enrichment, mental stimulation, and something fun to look forward to. ❤️

A HUGE thank you to everyone who donated to our Spooky Tails Supply Drive and helped make this possible! And thank you to the incredible PRC staff and volunteers for making sure these goodies get to the dogs.

300 jars of peanut butter. 67 KONGs. And a whole lot of love for shelter dogs! 🎃🐾

Our final Spooky Tails Supply Drive delivery was to Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center!

Thanks to your generosity, we collected 300 jars of peanut butter and 67 KONG toys for the dogs waiting for their forever homes. ❤️

For dogs living in a noisy, stressful shelter environment, something as simple as a KONG filled with peanut butter can provide much-needed enrichment, mental stimulation, and a little break from the stress of kennel life.

And with that, our Spooky Tails Supply Drive is officially complete! 👻

Together, we supported seven local rescues AND Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center.

To everyone who donated, shared our posts, purchased supplies, or helped spread the word, THANK YOU!

You helped make Halloween a little sweeter for animals who are still waiting for their happy endings. 🧡🐾

The Spooky Tails Supply Drive deliveries are officially underway! 🎃🐾

I've now made drop-offs at all SEVEN rescues!

Seven rescues. Seven groups of people working tirelessly to save animals. And thanks to all of YOU, we were able to deliver some much-needed supplies to help them continue their lifesaving work. ❤️

Could your business's next social media post help a shelter dog find a home in the Tampa Bay area? 🐾❤️

We're looking for more Tampa Bay businesses and community organizations to participate in our Flyers of Hope program!

The idea is simple: Help adoptable dogs reach people who might never see their stories otherwise.

Here's how it works:

🐾 Each month, Hope for Misfits selects adoptable dogs from local shelters and rescues.

📧 We email participating businesses and organizations a ready-to-post flyer and caption. You share the flyer on your own social media pages to help these dogs reach new audiences.

❤️ Hopefully, someone sees a dog they fall in love with and gives them a forever home!

And we have proof that it works!

Just this week, Denali and Acadia from Mercy Full Project were adopted because of Flyers of Hope! Circle's Waterfront Restaurant shared their flyer on Facebook, someone saw it and sent it to a friend, and that connection led to their adoption! 🎉

We want to reach even more people, and that's where YOU come in!

Restaurants, coffee shops, salons, gyms, real estate agencies, churches, community organizations, and businesses of all kinds are welcome to participate.

There's no cost, no fundraising, and no need to create your own content. I send you everything you need. All you have to do is post it!

You don't need thousands of followers to make a difference. You just need to reach the right person.

🐾 MEET LEIA! SMART, SASSY & LOOKING FOR HER PERSON! 💛

Leia is a 35-pound, 2 year old Shiba Inu/Husky mix with brains, energy, and a personality all her own!

She's incredibly intelligent, loves a challenge, and is always ready to work for treats. She knows commands like sit, down, and stay, but whether she follows them might depend on what's in it for her. 😂

Leia isn't a dog who immediately trusts everyone. She needs time to build a bond, but once she does, her goofy, loyal personality starts to shine!

🐾 What makes Leia special?
❤️ Extremely smart and food-motivated
❤️ Loves training, puzzles, and mental challenges
❤️ Active and energetic
❤️ Knows several basic commands
❤️ Loyal once she builds trust
❤️ Thrives when she has a job to do

🏡 Leia needs a very specific home:
🐕 Adult-only household
🐕 No children, cats, or other dogs
🐕 Active, experienced owner
🐕 Large fenced yard or farm preferred
🐕 Someone committed to continued training and respecting her boundaries

Leia does have behavioral challenges that her future adopter needs to understand. She can bite when being picked up or having a leash placed on her, is sensitive around her face and neck, and is still working on resource guarding, leash manners, and crate training.

⚠️ Leia has a documented human bite history. She needs an experienced, patient adopter who understands her needs and is committed to helping her succeed.

Her foster says:

“Leia is incredibly smart and willing to learn as long as food is involved! She needs someone she can trust and bond with. Once that happens, she’s unstoppable.”

Leia is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Leia won't be the right dog for everyone, but somewhere out there is someone who understands dogs like her and can give her the structure, patience, and space she needs.

❤️ Remember last weekend when I said I wish more dogs got shared AFTER they were safe? Can everyone share Jack?

Remember Jack? I trapped him after he was living on the streets, and thanks to First Ladies Farm and Sanctuary, he's now safe.. but his story isn't finished. He still needs a forever home!

Jack is about 1–2 years old, and he's come such a long way since we first found him.

🐾 Good with other dogs
🐱 Has shown no interest in cats or chickens
💕 Growing more confident every day
🫂 Loves to snuggle

Jack has already overcome so much. Now he just needs someone to give him the forever home he deserves!

❤️ Please keep sharing these dogs AFTER they're rescued. Getting them off the streets is only the beginning. Finding them a home is the happy ending we're all working toward! 🐾

🎃🍰 IT'S NATIONAL PUMPKIN CHEESECAKE DAY!

And we have a Pumpkin who's even sweeter than cheesecake! 🧡

Meet Pumpkin, a 2-year-old, 41-lb boy at Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center who has been through more than his fair share of tricks.

Pumpkin was confiscated by police from his owner in a parking lot and arrived at the shelter absolutely terrified. He spent his first days huddled in the corner of his kennel, shaking and afraid.

But little by little, Pumpkin has been coming out of his shell. 🧡

The boy who once hid in the corner is now chasing tennis balls, rolling in the grass, running through the garden and leaning into volunteers for affection!

He's still building confidence and can be nervous or selective around other dogs, but he's made incredible progress.

And on National Pumpkin Cheesecake Day, we think this sweet Pumpkin deserves something better than another day in a kennel. He deserves a HOME! 🏡

River was adopted!!!

Update: adopted!
👻 SHE’S A LITTLE SPOOKED… BUT SHE’D LOVE TO BE YOUR BOO. 🎃

River came into the shelter as a timid stray. New places, unfamiliar people and even walking through doorways can be scary for her.

But then she gets outside. She realizes she’s safe. And suddenly, a completely different River appears. ❤️

During her time in the play yard, River went from staying low to the ground with her tail tucked to seeking out affection, getting wiggly and literally lying in staff members’ laps.

Apparently, once River decides she trusts you, personal space is no longer a thing. 😂
