The garden dropped our first few certified organic, Tallmadge-grown pawpaws today! 🥭 They’re creamy, tropical, and one of our favorite signs that late summer is here.

We’ll have some popping up at the farmstand over the next few days, although we’ll probably keep the quantities pretty small. We had a little trouble with some of the honey at the farmstand the other day (someone took all of it 😔), so we’re a little hesitant to put too many pawpaws out unattended…

If you’d like some, just message us! We’re happy to set them aside for you to pick up.

They’ll also be making their way to some of our vendors this week, and if the harvest cooperates, we’re hoping to have some in CSA shares next week, too!

Pawpaw season is short, so enjoy them while they’re here!

🌱 CSA Week 12 is here! The farm is bursting with late-summer abundance—fresh onions, leeks, firebird swiss chard, basil, celery, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, Tulsi, nasturtiums, lettuce & more are making their way into this week’s shares!

Our Farm Signature Petite Bouquets are stocked at the farmstand! 🌻

$15 each, with a mix of flowers grown right here on the farm. Each bouquet includes:

• 1–2 sunflower blossoms
• 3–6 mixed-color zinnias
• Queen Anne’s Lace
• Queen Sophia marigolds
• A mix of seasonal wildflowers

Our self-serve farmstand is open 24/7 on the honor system. Stop by whenever you’re out this way and grab a bouquet while they last!

Lately on the farm …
Among other things, today the squad harvested more baskets of trilogy beans, beautiful alien melons (bitter melons, but my 6yr old calls them the later 😅), farmer Emily snagged the sweetest most refreshing batch of Lemon cucumbers yet, we dried plentiful calendula blossoms, and gazed on pollinator after pollinator loving on the garden’s colorful blooms 💚

This is what it’s all about folks.

We’re kicking things off with Trilogy green beans, San Marzano tomatoes, Sweet Basil, Cherry-Go-Round tomatoes, mixed zucchini, and our signature Tallmadge Trio Sauce—with plenty more on the way as the season continues!

This week, Farmer Dom is exploring Belgium through an agricultural and horticultural education program—learning from growers across the world, experiencing new farming practices, and bringing home ideas that will help shape our farm, and his further education! 🇧🇪🌱

A little glimpse of farm life. 🐔🐶🌱

Over the weekend, Farmer Jess & her trusty pup Oakley made their rounds around the farm, marking territory and helping keep the bunnies at bay 🐾

With all the hawks we’ve been seeing lately, our hens are staying safe in their chicken runner while still getting to scratch, forage, and help us with insect control.

Just a few of the ways we work with nature to grow certified organic food. 💚
