🐱Your kitten has a schedule, and it's moving FAST.

That tiny, adorable, slightly feral creature currently attacking your ankles? Yeah.. they're growing up. 🤣

Kitten season is still going strong, which means now is a great time to make sure your new family member is on track for the care they need.

🩺Around 8 weeks: Start their kitten vaccine series and wellness care.

💉Throughout kittenhood: Continue their recommended vaccine series, parasite prevention, and routine wellness visits as they grow.

Around 5-6 months: It's time to start planning for a spay and neuter.

And here's the part a lot of new kitten parent's don't realize: Cats can become reproductively active surprisingly early. Some can be capable of reproduction as early as 5 months.

So if you've recently brought home a tiny new roomate, don't wait until they're suddenly a MUCH bigger roomate.

On a serious note, Microchips aren't GPS trackers. They're more like a permanent ID number that can help reunite you with your pet if they ever get lost. But if you moved, changed your number, or adopted a pet whose information was never updated, that tiny chip may be pointing to an or address or number that hasn't been yours since your "I'm totally going to answer unknown numbers" era. 😂

A pet always fixes the worlds sadness, at least for a little while

We had such a wonderful time at Together Fest on Saturday! 🐾☀️

From dancing and meeting local pets to getting to know even more of the amazing people who make Tallahassee feel like home, the whole day was filled with fun, laughter, and community spirit.

We loved handing out prizes and watching everyone take on our bean bag toss and pet trivia, and honestly, we were seriously impressed! Tallahassee has some talented tossers and very knowledgeable pet lovers. 🎯🧠🐶

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, said hello, shared a pet story, played a game, or simply spent a little time with us. Events like this remind us how lucky we are to be part of such a warm, welcoming community.

One of our canine ambassadors, Paisley (AKA PP NUBZ), has been making sure every adoption goodie bag meets her very high standards as our team gets ready for PetSmart's Week-Long Adoption Event next week! 😸
