🐾Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate the Blessing Of The Animals with us this past Saturday!🐾

We had such a wonderful time spending the day with our community, meeting so many new faces, and reconnecting with friends! 💙

It was truly special to see so many beloved pets and their people come together for such a meaningful event. We're grateful for everyone who stopped by, shared a smile, brought their family members, and made the day so special.

September is Pet Insurance Awareness Month and if you're not considering it, here is your sign that you should!

Here are a few common FAQ's we talk about day-to-day:

Do you accept pet insurance? Most pet insurance companies work on a reimbursement basis, there are a few that direct-pay your vet, so if your company advertises that, check with the clinic you are using (i.e yes, we accept Trupanion direct-pay,) but a majority of the other companies will reimburse you based on your invoice, meaning you can use them anywhere!

Is pet insurance really worth it? Yes! If you knew you were going to get reimbursed 80+% of your vet bill within a week, it's much easier to say yes to recommended procedures and life-saving diagnostics for your furry best-friend!

How expensive is pet insurance? Your quote will depend on your pet's age, breed, pre-existing conditions, and a few other things. Almost ALL companies give you the opportunity to request a free quote, but for easy explanation, a young puppy with no health issues will usually get the best price and coverage options.

🐱Your kitten has a schedule, and it's moving FAST.

That tiny, adorable, slightly feral creature currently attacking your ankles? Yeah.. they're growing up. 🤣

Kitten season is still going strong, which means now is a great time to make sure your new family member is on track for the care they need.

🩺Around 8 weeks: Start their kitten vaccine series and wellness care.

💉Throughout kittenhood: Continue their recommended vaccine series, parasite prevention, and routine wellness visits as they grow.

Around 5-6 months: It's time to start planning for a spay and neuter.

And here's the part a lot of new kitten parent's don't realize: Cats can become reproductively active surprisingly early. Some can be capable of reproduction as early as 5 months.

So if you've recently brought home a tiny new roomate, don't wait until they're suddenly a MUCH bigger roomate.
