Some goodbyes are just harder than others. 😭
After nine incredible years, it's time for us to say goodbye to someone who has become part of Camp MoJo's heart.
😎 Emma has spent nearly a decade growing alongside us, helping shape what Camp MoJo's is today. ⛺ She's been a leader, a mentor, a teacher, and an advocate for every dog lucky enough to spend time in her care. She's trained countless staff members, helped hundreds (if not thousands!) of dogs learn and grow, and has always been someone we could count on to put the dogs first. 🐕
If you've ever wondered why your dog couldn't wait to run through our doors in the morning, there's a good chance Emma was part of the reason. 😆 She has a remarkable ability to understand dogs, earn their trust, and help them become their very best selves. The dogs absolutely adore her... and we have a feeling they're going to be looking for her after she's gone.
Last year, Emma became a Certified Dog Trainer, 🥳 and now she's taking the next step in a dream she's worked so hard to achieve. She's moving to the Jacksonville area to join K9s For Warriors, where she'll be training service dogs that will change the lives of veterans. 🐕🦺
It's hard to find the right words when someone has given so much of themselves to a place. Nine years is more than just time on a calendar. It's thousands of wagging tails, muddy paw prints, early mornings, belly rubs, training wins, puppy kisses, friendships, and countless lives made better because Emma chose to spend her days loving dogs. 💓
While our hearts are a little heavy, they're also incredibly full. Full of gratitude for the years we've shared, full of pride for everything she's accomplished, and full of excitement for the difference she'll make in this next chapter.
Watching someone chase their dream is inspiring. Watching them catch it is something truly special. 💫
Emma, thank you for every lesson you've taught, every dog you've helped, every teammate you've encouraged, and every piece of your heart you've left here. Camp MoJo's simply wouldn't be the same without you. 🥰🤗🤩
We'll miss you more than words can say - but we'll be cheering you on every step of the way.
