Hey everybody! My name's Peggy! I am a 1 year old Staffordshire Terrier mix. I dont do so well with other dogs or small animals but I love people and love to play! I love going on walks and my new favorite thing is working on training. I am fixed, current on vaccinations, and eager to please.
I came out here because I was scheduled to be put to sleep, whatever that means, and the lady that was covering my fees didnt want that to happen. Welp that was 2 months ago and I still havent found me a foster or new home. My time is supposed to be up tommorrow but if I go back to the shelter, I will be back on that list on arrival. What I really want is a foster or forever home but if I cant get one of those, What I really need is a sponsor. Someone that can cover my 22.00 a night fee and maybe a bag of food? Here's a doggy, there's a doggy, everywheres a doggy!! 😀 Lots of doggies at the nuthouse!
Miss Ruby went home. She had a fun couple days but was sure happy to see her mama! We welcomed back Buddy and Ella. We have 2 Buddys here now . We also welcomed Mr. Henry. Hes a bit timid but he will relax. Miss Lilly and Sadee are heading home tom evening. Im glad Miss Lilly is feeling better! Little sister AKA Mollie and her new little sister will be here tommorrow and so will the littles, Chilli, Pooh, Koda, and Miss Holly. Yeah we are full!!

Rain delayed third outs today but the pups had a good time when they did get to go out. Lots of running and playing was had by all!

Well its late and Im headed to bed! Night all!

Anybody see the rainbow? I could see both ends but the middle was in the clouds 😀 so pretty.
Been a crazy couple days here. One of the golden girls decided to bring a special item from home.........inside of her!! The girl done swallowed a whole dang sock!! After lots of omg the stank clean up, frantic calls from her mama who is out of town, pumpkin to sooth the intestines, and rest she is on the mend and was playing today. Lilly girl, leave the socks alone!! Oye veigh! 😀 😀

Welcomed back Miss Ruby today for a couple days. She was happy to trot on inside. Wanted to play with the others but she is a bit timid in larger groups so told her she had to wait until tom and a smaller group. She protested loudly but then accepted her fate and waited lol. She so funny.

Well its official, after 4 days of running, lots of social interaction with the other pups, and the longest game of ball I have ever played......Miss Elsa is starting to relax. She still wont play tug with me but she is getting closer. She has stopped screaming when I touch her and is letting me put the leash on and off without acting like it was going to kill her. Best part, she has stopped trying to nip my hands to prevent them from getting near her. Idk what she went through, but it wasnt good, poor girl. Anybody interested in a Mali mix and has the space for her to run and another dog to help her regulate, reach out to Champs Chance Inc for an application. Its rare that another dog in the home is a requirement, but for her it will have to be. She sees the pack respect, play, and interact with me and she knows she is safe to as well. Shes a sweet girl but has a long way to go.

Its late, Im tired, and 6 am.comes super early so night all!!

What a crazy weekend we had at the nut house! 11 dogs in the social yards and everybody had a blast! The weather was so nice yesterday we stayed outside ALL day. Pups were definitely tired today and lounged alot. They were happy to go inside for naps! Several pups went home today. I hope they had a good time. Elsa is finally starting to relax a bit. She has stopped screaming everytime I touch her and actually took a nap today. Sassy left today for her foster home. Yay so happy for her. She was so excited to hop in the car. Floofs constant barking was just stressing her out a bit too much. Happy Tails sweet Sassafrass. Remember there are several pups here looking for a foster or forever home. We have lots of pups here this weekend! Been a crazy day but the pups had a great one. We played, we ran, we trained, now we must sleep because I am exhausted! Back at it early am but for now.....night all!!

Fun times at the nuthouse. Sorry I havent posted some pics the last few days but its been very busy out here 😀 Lots of pups coming this weekend also.
Everybody has been playing, having fun, social yards are slowly growing, and all is well! We did welcome a new first timer today. He is super sweet but a bit nervous today so I just let him relax and watch the routines etc. We will see how he does with the other pups tommorrow. We will be welcoming back a few friends tommorrow as well. Cinnaminaminaminaminaminamin, Coda, Moose, and Lady all come tommorrow then Sadee and Lilly will join the social yards on Saturday! Its gonna be a very busy weekend.
Delta(Chewbacca) had a meet and greet today. She isnt much of a player though and thats what they are looking for so they also met Winnie and Jax. All three were super good eith their pup so now they have a decision to make. I also have a possible adopter for Miss Peggy YAY!! Hoping that works out. We will also be welcoming a new rescue pup tommorrow and Sassy is headed to a foster home on Sunday. So happy for her!! Gloof never stops barking and that is kinda stressing her out a bit so she will be much happier at the foster.
Told ya its been busy out here 😀 well last outs are done and I am beat so Im headed to watch some TV until I fall asleep. I dont think it will take long so Night all!

Whew we had a crazy day today. Lots of fun for all the babies. We did field time and walks early and stayed out longer for 2nd outs because it wasnt too hot until around 3 😀 Then it rained!
Bane went home. I hope he had a good visit. Buddy was dropped off for his long stay 😀 Hes always so happy to come for a visit.
Floof and Sabrina Regina are chilling together even without Bane being here so yay. Both seem to be reactive to others so Im happy Bane was able to bridge the gap and now they can socialize with each other. Sabrina Regina is good with Booms also. He was the first pup she was able to chill with. She will likely be ok with Buddy also. We will find out tommorrow.
Chewbacca aka Delta2 is putting on weight and settling in. Shes doing great. I have tried to trigger the guarding response she has but I have yet.to be able to. I even went in her kennel, sat down, and took her food bowl. She just looked st me like excuse me Can I have that back please! The look on her face made me laugh but no guarding or attempt to bite. I will try again in a week or so when she has really settled in and see what happens. She did start working on some basic cues this morning. We worked on sit, down, and come. She is very food motivated. Anything for a treat lol. Of course Jax and Winnie played hard all day and Chewbacca keeps squeezing through to join them.
We have lots of pups coming next weekend and I am fully booked until the end of the month. I have enlisted some help for next weekend to make sure everybody gets plenty of time out and lots of attention. 😀
Last outs are done so im headed to bed. Back at it first thing in the morning. Night all!
