This article was shared recently and we wanted to clarify details for clients of ours that were concerned:
South Monroe did NOT receive any of the affected serial numbers. All 3-year vaccines given at our practice were viable! We carry Boehringer Ingelheim vaccines because of their status as one of the most efficient, safe, and adjuvant-free products on the market.

A voluntary recall has been issued for a single serial of IMRAB 3TF rabies vaccine.

A reminder that we are back into tick season 🕷
Take caution and make sure your feline family members are current on tick preventatives!

🚨Summer 2024: CYTAUXZOONOSIS is rampant in Leon County🚨
Cytauxzoonosis, otherwise known as "Bobcat Fever", is a nasty disease caused by a parasite and can be life threatening. Spread by ticks, this disease can make your house-cat incredibly sick and requires aggressive care to prevent poor outcomes. https://www.merckvetmanual.com/circulatory-system/blood-parasites/cytauxzoonosis-in-cats

Since May, SMAH has already hospitalized 5 cats with this diagnosis.

Our strongest recommendation is to make sure your pet is on a prescription flea & tick preventative year around. Monthly topical medications can prevent ticks from latching on long enough to spread this nasty disease. If your fellow feline is not up to date on prevention, please give us a call today to purchase Revolution Plus.
