I'm back at the Tally Cat Cafe to answer questions about how cold this winter can get, and where the phrase "raining like cats and dogs" comes from!

We know we’re among a big crowd mourning the passing of the incredible Dolly Parton. Not only an animal lover, but a person who truly cared about lifting up her community and those around her. We believe that if everyone was a little bit more like her then everything would be brighter, kinder, and maybe just a little bit more pink. 💖

So, through Friday, we’re offering a version of the Kitten Kisses: A Cup of Ambition.

It’s a red velvet marshmallow latte with an extra shot and red velvet cold foam, to power you through your 9-5 and give you the ambition to make the world a better place.

Proceeds from A Cup of Ambition will be donated to Second Harvest of the Big Bend as a nod to her commitment to uplifting not just animals but her community, an effort on our end to uplift our own - especially with hurricane season and the holidays on the horizon.

We look forward to all the ways people who loved her will honor her memory, and what will be accomplished through her inspiration.

THERE IT IS - Midnight is adoption #2000!

We know we were just partying to celebrate 8 years, but now we have another huge milestone to share, so we’re bringing back our prize wheel ALL WEEKEND, with merch like pins, stickers, prints, and more to give away as a thank you to our supporters because this milestone is as much yours to celebrate as ours.

Every person who visits the cafe is helping us achieve our goal of finding cats homes. You’re enjoying the cuddles, the playtime, and the purrs, but you’re also helping these cats feel safe, loved, and able to be comfortable and seen by their future forever people. When you purchase admission, you’re helping us provide this space, keep it cozy and enriching for hundreds of cats, and facilitate these adoptions alongside our rescue partner. We’re grateful for you, and the cats are too!

We hope to see you this weekend!

Abby came prepared, but the trash bag was useless. She did get 6/7 right though, which was very impressive 😺

We’re getting closer and closer every day!

Happy to announce adoptions #1993 and #1994, Cheddar and Raindrop!

Cheddar was the star of the room during her time with us, and Raindrop made such a big impression for such a little guy that he found a home in no time at all!

Stay tuned, adoption #2000 is right around the corner!
