Read this story. This is central to EVERYTHING that is going on in the world right now.. it is the reason for the United States take over a Venezuela. It is the reason the United States got involved in Iran. It is the reason the United States is putting the pressure on Cuba. And it is the reason the United States is talking about a military presence in North Greenland.
We tend to look at the world east/west, because that is traditionally the way Europeans look at the world. They view the Russians to the east as their threat. However, the US threat comes directly from the North. NATO does not pay any attention to this. Take a look at the attached map with a Birdseye view of our immediate North. This area used to be completely covered in ice however due to global warming that is no longer true. Look at who our neighbors are to the north. We have a long Russian coastline and a lot of Chinese activity. Between the United States in this area is only Alaska, which is armed to the teeth, Greenland, which is unarmed and cannot be protected, but it’s 45,000 population or the European country that claim sovereignty and Canada, which exists mainly in a 150 mile band north of the United States border. Canada is completely unable to defend its northern border.
That is what all that has been going on in the world for the last 24 months is about. The United States military raised this concern before Donald Trump took office. This is not his idea. It’s a warning from the United States military and it is a warning we need to take very seriously.
