Cross Creek Animal Clinic Cross Creek Animal Clinic Your visit to Cross Creek Animal Clinic is about you and about your pet. We want to know and address your concerns.

We want to hear your observations and thoughts about your pet because they are very helpful for establishing a diagnosis. We want to get to know your pet both through your eyes as well as our own eyes. With your input years of pet care experience and up-to-date know-how, Dr. Hale will efficiently and effectively look after the comfort and well being of your family pets. Our recommendations may include just simple practical advice based on just an examination or our advice may range to include more sophisticated, yet appropriate diagnostic tests, techniques, procedures and treatments. In some cases, alternative primary or adjunctive approaches may be suggested. We always strive to explain your pet’s problems and treatment options clearly. We appreciate that “medical things” are hard to fully understand with one conversation. We will always patiently and courteously answer your concerns. Cross Creek Animal Clinic, in fact, employs staff members who specialize in communicating with you about your pet’s well being, about problem solving and about general medical matters.

🐾 Big News from Cross Creek Animal Clinic! 💙

As we prepare for our reopening, we're excited to share that our entire team of doctors and staff is currently working toward Fear Free Practice Certification!

This means that before we open our doors, we're investing in advanced training focused on creating a calmer, more comfortable veterinary experience for every pet and their family.

Fear Free principles are designed to reduce fear, anxiety, and stress during veterinary visits through thoughtful handling techniques, positive reinforcement, and individualized care. Throughout this process, our team is learning new ways to help pets feel safe and confident from the moment they arrive.

As we work toward certification, you can look forward to:
🐶 Low stress handling techniques
🐱 Positive reinforcement with treats and rewards
💙 Personalized care tailored to your pet's emotional and physical needs
🏥 A welcoming environment designed to make veterinary visits less stressful

This is just one of the many ways we're building the new Cross Creek Animal Clinic with your pets' comfort and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do.

We can't wait to share our progress with you as we continue working toward becoming a Fear Free Certified Practice before reopening. Thank you for being part of this exciting journey with us—we look forward to welcoming you and your pets soon! 🐾💙

This week we had the honor of celebrating Veterinary Receptionist Week, and we couldn’t let it pass without saying a huge THANK YOU 💙🐾

Our client service representatives are the heart of our hospital. They are the first friendly faces you see, the voices on the phone when you need guidance, and the steady hands keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

We are so incredibly grateful for our amazing team:
Jose, and Bella ✨

Thank you for your compassion, patience, organization, and dedication to both our clients and their pets every single day. We truly couldn’t do this without you.

If you’ve had a great experience with our front desk team, we’d love for you to show them some love in the comments 💬🐶🐱

‼️Cold temperatures are expected in Tallahassee over the next week, and we want to help keep your pets safe.‼️

Please review these cold weather safety tips for dogs and cats:

• Keep pets indoors whenever possible
• Limit outdoor exposure and monitor for shivering or weakness
• Provide warm, dry bedding away from drafts
• Check paws for cold irritation, ice, or debris after walks
• Do not leave pets in garages, cars, or on porches during cold weather
• Ensure fresh water is available and not frozen

North Florida pets are not accustomed to extended cold temperatures, and even healthy pets can be affected quickly. If something does not seem right, trust your instincts and reach out.

The Cross Creek Animal Clinic team is here if you have any questions or concerns during this cold stretch.
