Ozzy working in prey drive.
Practicing obedience while prey drive is activated gives you more control to call your dog off real prey in the real world.
Can you recall your dog while they’re chasing a squirrel?

Day 10 of training for Ozzy!

Most trainers won’t show the learning process on social media, but I’d rather show what that looks likes so maybe it can aid as a learning tool for someone.

Keep in mind during this learning phase I am only repeating the command after a physical correction w/ the word “no”. Timing is crucial and because it is such a terrible habit for people to repeat commands I recommend just using the word “no” while correcting the bad decision.

Make sure the correction meets the infraction; Ozzy crawling on the ground isn’t a major infraction so her correction was just enough to tell her “that was the wrong decision”

Think of a major infraction as something that could be life threatening.

Luka hasn’t even been here a full week yet and he’s already doing long line work!!
This happy guy should be an advocate for the breed cause he is one cool dude!

Miss Nova has been in training for almost a week now (sorry I forgot the welcome pics)

This is a cool video cause it shows her thinking about the decisions she’s making after being told to do something and by the end of the lesson executing those commands (and holding them) flawlessly.
