Sometimes you just need a breather. Neighborhood walks can become stressful with anticipation of triggers. Taking a break to walk more open, quiet spaces can mean a world of difference to a reactive dog.

Positive exposure from a early age sets the standard for a calm and confident dog. Each dog is sleeping and relaxed well I vacuum the living room.

Everyone talks about early exposure to grooming for puppies. Its so important to build positive exposure to grooming for pupppies but equally important is the way we care for our senior dogs. Grooming looks different as they age. Comfort over style. Breaking grooms into parts. Bath, blow dry one day, hair cut the next. Nails on a different day of the week. Taking extra time and attention to detail. Allowing dogs to sit or lay down during grooms. Dry a dog on the floor because a table is scary.
Opt for a mobile groomer or a single dog salon. So your dog is in and out. No waiting in a kennel or having the stress of other dogs and people. Work with your groomer to find the best option. :)

Its that time of year again. Watch out for foxtails in tall grass. The sharp barbs attach and will c I antique to burrow once attached. They will burrow into your dogs skin. Between toes, in ears, eyes and nose . These can cause serious damage and rack up quite the vet bill.
Better safe than sorry.

Warmer weather means more people and their dogs will be out enjoying public spaces. But just because a dog is in public, doesn't mean they are public property. "ALWAYS" ask to pet and when in doubt, follow these rules. 😀

Nicer weather is just around the corner. More dog owners will be out enjoying the the beautiful sights our state has to offer.
Keep in mind that not all dogs enjoy other dogs or people in their space.
The simple act of giving dog owners respectful space can mean the world of difference.
Don't know if a dog is ok with you in its space? ..... just ask :) simple as that.

I know many dog owners who would be so grateful to people and other dog owners if they asked first before meeting.

One simple act can mean a world of difference :)
