Today I received a message that no breeder ever wants to hear - Herbert, Willows brother, was rushed to the emergency vet clinic with a suspected life-threatening case of bloat. This critical condition demands immediate attention, and despite the urgency, there is still a high risk that he might not pull through even with surgery. Thankfully, Sarah sprang into action, recognizing the warning signs and getting Herbert to the vet promptly, where he was swiftly taken into surgery and is now in recovery. Given that Herbert and his family have just settled back in the States, the timing couldn't be more challenging.
