One of our brightest lights crossed the rainbow bridge this past weekend, and our hearts are heavy. Athena started coming to Blue Prints as a young adolescent pup, winning over the hearts of so many (especially Sam’s) with her quirky behaviors and her enormous heart.

Employees that have been with us long enough, remember her signature move; stopping at Room 3 during drop‑off and pooping right in front of the door almost every single time!

Fast forward a few years, Sam adopted her from her original owners, and she in turn became family to all of us. For nearly a decade, Athena was our go‑to girl for daycare interviews, birthday party photos, promotional photoshoots, and truly anything we needed a dog to pose for. She was patient, loyal, reliable, expressive, and always ready to help (with minimal attitude).

Sam and Melly gave her the most beautiful, loving life that our entire Blue Prints community got to be a part of. If our team seems a little quieter this week, this is why. We lost our queen, but the memories and her paw prints will stay with us forever.

Until we meet again, Athena Marie. 💙
