A post every day gets Bonnie home to stay! Day 255! Now that Artimus has found a home, Bonnie is our longest term female resident. Let’s share this post to find Bonnie a home!

Meet Bonnie
Age: around 5 years old
S*x: spayed female
Weight: around 45lbs.
Behavior/Personality: Bonnie is going to need a patient adopter, willing so go at Bonnie’s pace. She’s not a in your face girl from the get, she needs time to get to know you and trust you. Once she does know you she’s an absolute sweetheart and happy girl. Volunteers and staff quickly won her over with treats and walks. When she’s comfortable she LOVES belly rubs and to just be by her people. You can also catch her zooming around the play yards and chasing treats. She does good in the car and is pretty good on the leash. She will need a patient adopter and someone willing to do multiple meet and greets!
Energy Level: medium-high energy level
Dogs: Bonnie seems to do well with most dogs, but we highly recommend meet and greets with others in the house!
Cats: she might do okay with cats. She has walked around the cat rooms and doesn’t seem to react to them in their rooms. (Not a true cat test, just a small glimpse of how she might do)
Children: Bonnie seems to be afraid of small children and would probably do best with either no children or older kids due to her shy/skittish nature.

🐾Meet Keno!🐾

Keno is a 1 year old neutered male. He came to us as an owner surrender and weighs around 50lbs. Keno is very people friendly and absolutely loves attention! He likes treats and will “sit” for one! He likes to chew on toys and is a cuddly bug. He loves being out of the shelter environment and does okay on a leash. He is dog selective, and would do best as the only pet in the home. Call us at 828-586-6138 to meet Keno!🐾🐶

🐾Meet Zebra!🐾

Zebra is a 1.5 year old spayed female Belgian Malinois and Great Pyrenees mix. Zebra was adopted out from us recently and brought back a day later. It wasn’t the right fit for her or the adopters. She’s such a fantastic dog, but she needs someone who is willing to take the time to let her settle. Belgian Malinois are typically high energy dogs who need a lot of physical and mental stimulation so we would love to have an adopter familiar with the breed or someone willing to put the effort in. She is very affectionate and loves to be pet/loved on! Zebra is very neutral around other dogs and is friendly towards everyone she meets. If you adopt a shelter dog please give them time to decompress and learn their new environment. If you’d like to meet Zebra, please call us at 828-586-6138 to set up a time to meet her!🐾
