☀️🐾 Temperatures Are Rising — Heatstroke Can Happen Fast! 🐾☀️

As temperatures climb, it’s important to remember that our pets can overheat much faster than we do. Heatstroke is a medical emergency and can become life-threatening quickly.

Watch for signs of overheating:
🌡️ Excessive panting
🌡️ Bright red gums or tongue
🌡️ Drooling more than normal
🌡️ Weakness or collapse
🌡️ Vomiting or diarrhea
🌡️ Difficulty breathing
🌡️ Confusion or acting “off”

Help keep your pets safe:
✅ Always provide fresh water
✅ Limit outdoor activity during peak heat
✅ Walk early morning or evening
✅ Make sure pets have shade available
✅ Avoid hot pavement (if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for paws!)
🚫 NEVER leave pets in a parked car — even for a few minutes

If you suspect your pet may be overheating, move them somewhere cool and contact your veterinarian immediately.

Let’s keep our furry family members safe this summer ❤️☀️

🐱 Flea Prevention Reminder for Cat Owners 🐱

Not all flea products are created equal — and products made for dogs should NEVER be used on cats unless specifically directed by your veterinarian.

🚫 Some dog flea medications contain ingredients that can be extremely dangerous — even deadly — to cats.

Here’s what to remember:

✔️ Always use products labeled specifically for cats
✔️ Use the correct product for your cat’s weight and age
✔️ Never split dog products to “save money”
✔️ Keep treated dogs separated from cats when using certain dog-only products
✔️ Year-round flea prevention protects against more than just fleas — it helps prevent skin issues, parasites, and keeps your cat comfortable

Even indoor cats can get fleas! 🐾

Not sure which flea prevention is best for your cat? Our team is happy to help you choose the safest option for your feline friend ❤️
