Turn out shows respect for your horse, your trainer, and YOURSELF!

Clean your tack, groom your horse, and shine your boots. Every day. If you can control nothing else, you can control your turn out. There is no excuse to not do the minimum effort.

It’s been a joy working with these girls throughout their high school years!! I’m soaking up the remainder of their senior year and look forward to all they set out to accomplish. I wonder what colleges I will add to my representation list? So far I have had Virginia Tech, Louisville, and Coastal Carolina.

We kicked off the IEA - Interscholastic Equestrian Association season this past month. Though this is my fourth season coaching in IEA, this year is my first season having a team under Daydream Equestrian.

On 9/20, we competed in the first ever IEA show held in our Nation’s capitol at Rock Creek Park where both upper and future team took home champion! Congratulations to Harper, Audrey, Waverly, and Mikaila in competing at their first IEA show.

On 9/27, we co-hosted a rainy day show with St Timothy's School. This show was extra special because it was the first venue I coached at an IEA show 3 seasons ago. The upper school team placed third and the lower school team took home reserve champion. Shout out to Juliana for competing in her first IEA show, Piper for tying got high point rider, and Maddie, who has been with us since the start, for sweeping her division!

Thank you to everyone that makes this happen.

Had a fun time this past weekend supporting the community by donating a clinic to Thurmont Riding Club Inc. It was great to be able to give back to something that supports so many in their equestrian journey! If you’re interested in booking a clinic that focuses on horsemanship, partnership, and anything inbetween then please reach out.

We love supporting our community however we can. An added bonus that our horses also get spoiled 🥰

The past two weekends were spent exploring some local history! Hanna and Jake took a trip down to 127th Warrenton Horse Show with their hunt club Howard County Iron Bridge Hounds. They did a great job preparing for Hunt Night with the help of their amazing club, barn family, and Jake’s owner, Peter. At the 145th Maryland state fair, Bob and Aurora were ambassadors for thoroughbreds. They attended the all-thoroughbred show which was beautifully ran. Their favorite part were all the fans who loved their beautiful braids! They were a little disappointed that they didn’t get a funnel cake of their own 😋

Thank you Frederick Pony Club for hosting their annual jumper show. The girls and horses had fun jumping around on the grass!
