❤️🩹❤️🩹Buckle up…. This is a tough one.
DustBunny went in for a spay today and to look again for a polyp since she’s still been very boogery. Unfortunately, the polyp is back as big (if not bigger) than it was before. We are sending it off for histology.
She bled an awful lot during the polyp removal this time, so she wasn’t able to proceed with the spay. She had to receive a vitamin K injection to help stop the bleeding. There is only so much that can be seen at a regular vets office, so she’s also being referred out & will require further imaging done (CT scan likely). Which will cost about $2,000.
She also has developed Horners Syndrome during / after the procedure. Think of it as Bell’s palsy for cats. That’s why her eye looks so uneven.
I had to bring her home to Whiskerson’s bathroom tonight because she’s at a risk for losing too much blood and needing to rush to the ER, so I may be camping out on the floor with her tonight.
She is sweet, she is loving to everyone and everything, she is young, she is precious. She is worth it. There is nothing she wants more than to just snuggle in your lap and make biscuits. She is just a kitten with so much love left to give.
Please consider purchasing a shirt / crew neck sweater to help us help her. The quarantine shed can wait. All funds raised will be going to DustBunny.
And to think her finder was told to let her go on a back road… I can’t even fathom.
