Fall turns even the most civilized dog into a professional forest detective. 😂
Let them sniff ALL the smells—but keep pups close and give deer and other wildlife plenty of room.

We get the beautiful Michigan fall adventure. The wildlife gets to keep doing wildlife things. Everybody wins. 🤍

Be honest: would your dog calmly observe a deer…or immediately forget every command they’ve ever known?! 😂

I know—it feels too early to talk holiday plans. 😅

But if your family will be traveling later this fall or during the holidays, this is your reminder to get your pup’s reservation on the calendar too.

Holiday space is intentionally limited, and designated peak/holiday reservations follow our no cancellation-credit policy, so please only reserve dates you’re comfortable committing to. 🤍🐾

📲 Request dates through KennelBooker.

New pup? We don’t believe their very first experience with us should be, “Okay bye—see you in five days!” 🤍😜 & That’s exactly why we require Intro Days!

It gives your pup four calm hours to get to know us and our home before an overnight stay ever happens.
🐾 Wednesdays & Thursdays
🐾 4 hours
🐾 $35/pup
🐾 No dog-to-dog interactions

A much gentler first hello. ❤

MICHIGAN PUP REMINDER 🍂🐾
If fall hiking is your thing, it’s officially time to add “make the dog visible” to the checklist.

Bright or reflective gear, keeping your pup close, and staying aware of your surroundings are easy habits for Michigan trail days this time of year.

Happy hiking—and may your dog sniff approximately 4,973 leaves along the way! 😂

MICHIGAN PUP REMINDER 🍄🐾
Fall walks + curious dogs = somebody inevitably trying to eat something weird. 😂

Wild mushrooms are one of those things we don’t mess around with. If you can’t confidently identify it as safe, don’t let your pup investigate it with their mouth!

A quick yard check after damp weather and a close eye on wooded walks can save a whole lot of worry. 🤍

“A Home Away From Home” isn’t just something pretty we put under our logo.
It’s the whole reason Walkin’ Paws exists. 🤍

Your pup stays under the same roof as our family, in a small-group environment where we can actually learn their routines, preferences and personalities!

Some pups want to play. Some want a quiet blanket and a nap. Some need a little extra reassurance.

We want them to be cared for like the individual dog they are. ❤

How fun is this? 🥰
