Physical tagging of your harvest is no longer required ❌

The DNR no longer requires a physical tag to be attached to big game (deer, elk, bear), furbearers, turkey, or lake sturgeon at the time of harvest. Those physical tags are now replaced with the act of site validation.

At the site of the harvest, licensed hunters will need to validate prior to moving the animal. This can be done through:

• The mobile app, MN DNR Licensing (site validation/harvest registration)

• By hand on a printed site validation, provided by a license retailer or printed at home

If you choose to do the latter, just keep your printed site validation on your person as you transport your harvest.

Remember to complete the process by registering your harvest either online, through the app, or at participating license retailer within the required timeframe.

If you were offline during your mobile site validation/harvest registration, simply re-open your app when you're back in service to submit your information.

For all you out there that like to keep life simple I am going to start making a few of these if there is interest in them. Good simple house decor with real turkey feathers. Price tag will be $20. I will make a few variations of these and put them up for sale here.

I just picked up this years batch of turkey Plaques. All handmade locally, everyone is different you can’t buy these at a store. You will get to pick out your plaque when you drop off your bird.

It all starts tomorrow Good luck everyone

One of my favorite times of the year is just a few days away. I will be taking turkey fans and feather frames this year. You will not find a faster turnaround time on plaque mounts, I get turkeys done right away due to freezer space and wall space. See details and prices below. Feather Frames will be a longer wait due to the high volume and the hours it takes to get them done

All fan mounts will be put on locally made hardwood plaques with lots of unique ones to choose from

Fan,beard mount - $120

Fan, Beard, and spurs- $140

Feather frame- $600
(30”x30” in the approximate measurement on the inside of the frame)

Full Body Turkey- $1,000

I am looking if there is any Interest with my customer’s or even anyone that has a mount or antlers they would like to get officially scored.

If I have a bunch of interest the scorer might be willing to come to me. Otherwise I will bring him some racks since I have to make the run there already. Please get ahold of me if you would like something scored.

UPDATE- I have been contacted and have 2 kids lined up. Don’t be afraid to contact me still just incase

Looking for 1 youth hunter that has no experience turkey hunting, I want to share the excitement of turkey hunting with some of our local youth that have never experienced turkey hunting or even hunting at all. First come first serve, I ask that you are honest with me and don’t fill this spot if your child has turkey hunting experience.

Turkey season starts April 15th-May 31st

Please contact me if you or someone you know might be interested. If I have multiple people interested I might be open to doing a few hunts. If this happens I will save your number and if the season goes smoothly I will keep you updated on if I can sneak another one in.
