The long weekend is almost here — and every year, we see the same ER visits. Grilled food they got into. Heat they weren't ready for. Fireworks that sent them running.

If your pet needs emergency care, Mass-RI Veterinary ER is open every day from 8am–10pm.

Zoey stole the spotlight during her cardiology visit 💗

This little cutie came to see our team for an echocardiogram, and we’re pretty sure she knows exactly how adorable she is. Thanks to her mom for letting us share this sweet photo with everyone 😊

We know cost is a real concern during a vet emergency, and our team always does their best to support clients through it. So glad that came through for you and your pup, Melissa! ❤️

You did the tick check. Good. But if you found one, the next 24-48 hours matter.

Watch for fever, limping, or a dog that just seems off. Lyme disease can set in faster than most people realize, and early treatment makes a big difference.

Not sure you got the whole tick? Something feels wrong? We're open every day, 8am–10pm. ❤️

How cute is this little guy? 😍 He’s currently being treated for pancreatitis while also managing diabetes and somehow is still the absolute sweetest boy ever.

Drop a ❤️ for him in the comments.

Two puppies. One very bad tummy day. A whole lot of wiggling while we helped them feel better. ️

We love when a story has a happy ending, and these two are on their way back to 100%.

If your pup isn't feeling their best, we're here ❤️

Today is National Hospital Day, but the truth is, the care your pet receives starts long before they walk through our doors. ❤️

It comes from a team of people who are pet owners themselves. People who understand how much pets mean to their families and carry that into every appointment, procedure, and conversation.

(And yes… their camera rolls are exactly what you’d expect 🐾)

Happy National Hospital Day to the incredible people behind the care at Mass-RI Veterinary ER ❤️

Pretty flowers ≠ safe for pets. 🌸

Some of the most common plants in homes and gardens are actually toxic to dogs and cats. Lilies, tulips, azaleas, and daffodils can all cause serious reactions, and symptoms don't always show up right away.

Toxic plant ingestion can affect the kidneys, heart, and nervous system depending on the plant and how much your pet got into. Even a small amount of certain plants (lilies, especially) can be life-threatening for cats.

If you know or suspect your pet ate something toxic, don't wait for symptoms to get worse. Time matters. ❤️
