🐾 Patient Spotlight: Meet Edmond! 🐾

This tiny ball of fluff is Edmond, an 11-week-old kitten who recently visited us for his first round of vaccines. While he handled his visit like a champ, his screening revealed something we often see in young kittens—feline coccidia.

🦠 What is coccidia?
Coccidia are microscopic intestinal parasites that commonly affect kittens, especially those from multi-pet environments. They can cause symptoms like diarrhea, dehydration, and discomfort—but the good news is they’re treatable!

💡 What pet owners should know:

Coccidia spreads through contaminated environments (like litter boxes).
Good hygiene and prompt treatment are key to recovery.
Regular vet visits and f***l testing help catch issues early—just like in Edmond’s case!

💊 Edmond is now on treatment and on his way to feeling better. With proper care, most kittens recover quickly and go on to live happy, healthy lives.

🐾 ADOPTABLE CAT ALERT 🐾

Meet Chert! This sweet boy is 2 years old and the cutest little tuxedo you’ve ever seen. He’s currently being fostered by one of our veterinarians, but he’s ready to find his loving forever home!

Chert has previously lived with other cats, dogs, and children, and did well with all of them. He may be a little shy and skittish when first adjusting to new surroundings, but he has the gentlest heart and wouldn’t hurt a fly. He loves head bumps, snuggles, and being close to his people.

Chert is currently recovering from abdominal surgery after ingesting a silicone lid. He’s healing well and is expected to make a full recovery! That said, his future family should be mindful of his healing incision and handle him gently as he continues to recover.
