4 Month Old Dilute Solid (blue base with white tips) Senior Silkie Sow. Making headway in F3 generation with improved body type. Goal is to increase density while maintaining the texture. Slowly but surely.

Have been working on the blue longhairs for a little over a year and 2-3 generations deep now, originally starting with European blue texels crossed to my lines.
Had a surprise singleton pop out last week of a different color. It seems the European animals carry the gene for slate. Too soon to tell if the pup pictured is just slate or if he is a combination of blue and slate. 2nd photo is him pictured with a blue silkie for color comparison.
Might end up being a surprise with some complications but worth working on. Might just be a possible future for another color variety of longhairs here in the United States. Time will tell.

Home from a wonderful convention!! Got animals all settled in and the new ones are adjusting well:) huge congrats to my friends Laurie, Linda and Taylor on their big wins!!! Couldn't be happier for you all:)
Came home with some new imported silkies and blue texels from Sweden. Very much looking forward to making some blue silkies;) huge thanks to Chase Austin for all the work he put into getting the animals state side. Also came home with a beautiful trio of white mini satin rabbits from black mountain ranch;) back into the rabbits i go haha
