Poppy 🌈🦔🐾
September 21st, 2022 - October 2nd, 2026

Last night PKRS lost a very special hedgie, and we are just so heartbroken. Poppy was from one of my last ever litters before I retired from breeding. She was a fighter! The only baby to survive her litter, and she was a fighter until the end.

A one of a kind hedgehog. Beautiful, full of personality, and just a girl who loved to eat and run on her wheel!

Poppy was from our Vex'ahlia & Floki litter, and I think she was the perfect mix of her parents, her coloring was so beautiful like her dad, and she had so much personality like her mom!

During the past couple of months, Poppy started to develop oral cancer, which unfortunately is common in hedgehogs. There was nothing we could do for her surgically, we just kept her happy, loved, and comfortable until the end.

She thoroughly enjoyed her nightly wet food and high calorie packets, she would wait at her cage door anytime i'd enter her office and beg ❤

It was so hard to say goodbye to her, and my office seems so empty without her presence. It truly feels like an end of an era for The Prickled Rose/Prickled Rose Hedgehogs, I cant believe its been 4 years since I said goodbye to breeding. While I miss it so much every day, and absolutely loved all the hedgehogs we produced, I dont know if I have it in my heart yet to ever get back into it!

Currently we still have our two foster fail old ladies, Priscilla and Sage 🤍

Oh Poppy girl, you are already so missed, I love you so so much! I hope you're eating all the wormiez and running on your wheel pain free 🌈🦔🐾

Happy Friday Everyone!

www.theprickledrose.etsy.com

It has been a while since we posted, my apologizes! Life got busy and Ive been dealing with a cold!

I apologize for any delayed orders, I unexpectedly ran out of our latest batch of kibble mix, but as soon as I caught up on orders I immediately ordered new supplies (which are like 95% delivered!)

A fresh batch of our kibble mix will be made ASAP and orders will be shipping out hopefully Monday!

I apologize again for the delay, please do not hesitate to reach out on Etsy if you ever have any questions or concerns regarding your order :)

Incase you didn’t know or Etsy makes it hard to find, as a reminder I do offer express or priority shipping if you are ever in a pinch or just want faster shipping 🩵

If you are on mobile on a browser, at checkout right before you’re about to submit payment, click “review items” and then it should pop up all of the shipping options ✨

Just a reminder though that priority or express shipping does not equal faster processing times! All orders will still have the standard 3 business day processing time (does not include weekends or holidays) but if you are ever in a pinch and have the items in stock, just send me a message! I will always try my best to get orders out ASAP!

Not my usual post! But these adorable boys are looking for furever homes ❤
My grandma has 3 male kittens who are looking for loving homes 🩵 they are or are almost 9 weeks old!

Fully weaned, using the litter box, and full of energy!
If you know of anyone interested in giving them good homes or any rescues let me know!

Mom was a stray/feral cat that my grandma recently let come in, then surprised us with babies lol!
💛 (Reserved) Yellow Collar (1st pic) is full of personality and energy
🩷 Pink Collar (2nd Pic) is very sweet
💚 Green Collar (3rd Pic) is the most mellow and darkest in color!

yellow & green might have longer coats as they get older, pink is the lightest and seems to have the shortest coat!

My grandma is located in Surprise, but I’m willing to meet halfway or deliver for the right home 🏠 ✨

Adoption fees will be minimal just to ensure good homes & money will go towards getting their feral mom spayed so not more kittens!!

When it rains it pours! We are still recovering from our foot surgery over here and have happened to get most orders out on time, but unfortunately our A/C decided to go out when it’s over 100 degrees outside already 🥵

So between recovery & being uncomfortably warm until it’s hopefully fixed today, I haven’t had a moment to sit down and ship out pending orders.

Depending on this evening I will try my best to either work on orders today or tomorrow! I apologize for more delays!!

We also just placed the order for ingredients to make a fresh batch of kibble mix as I’m almost out 🩵

Will also need to make another batch of our whipped wash!

06/25/2026

Not too bad! Now going to take a break and finish these up later tonight or tomorrow morning before USPS comes 🩵 just need to seal the bags and packaged them up!
