Well Pup Cup Extravaganza took an unfortunate turn today. Kirby suffered a work related injury today while performing his ball chasing duties. What I think happened is a Bermuda Grass runner got caught between his toes and resulted in a compound fracture of one toe. He obviously is very sad and disappointed in the incident and has been told by the vet he will have to be off of work for the next few weeks. He will in a cast for the next 4-6 weeks and we are really concerned about him going through withdrawals not being able to chase a ball or anything. He is home now and dealing with this like a real trooper, he is relaxing now in his warm and comfy bed. I will get him to the markets next week so he can at least resume his supervisory roll and get all his furry friends to sign his cast, with a pen! Not peeing on it! LOL!!
