Frank is one of our most resilient medical cases who has made tremendous progress since joining us over a year ago. Despite undergoing monthly chemo treatments at a neurologist for encephalitis, he has shown remarkable courage in the face of adversity, including a proptosed eye, which required emergency care. Thanks to the swift action of our team and the support of veg, we are grateful that Frank is receiving the care he needs to thrive.

‼️RESCUE SUCCESS STORY‼️

This is Mira, We rescued her from a storm drain when she was only a couple days old. She had 5 other siblings that were deceased. So we buried them and took Mira in and brought her back to health! We are so happy that she’s doing well❤️

MEET THE BREED‼️This is Buddy, AKA Bubba. He is a Catahoula, We rescued him from a family who was moving.

The Catahoula breed is a working dog that originated in Louisiana, They are very independent, protective and fierce.

FUN FACT: They have webbed paws, this makes them excellent swimmers & helps them navigate marshy environment.

We took Frank to get eye exams last week, the vet said that he has severe dry eye due to the fact that his eyelid reflex does not function properly because of his Nuro condition. The dry eye led to corneal ulcers, he now has to take medicated drops for the rest of his life for these ulcers.

On top of that his eyes don’t work together, one goes up while the other goes down. This leads to severe double vision. which then prevents the vet from seeing how much he can see at both eyes.

We are slowly nursing him back to health, but this is definitely been a journey and it’s not over yet! ❤️

This is Floof, I spent 3 months trying to rescue her…She would hide under a car every morning, waiting for food.

She was very trap savvy, so I started playing with her and she eventually got comfortable enough that I was able to catch her, and bring her back to the rescue. This is a picture of her sleeping in her favorite spot!
