VACCINATION CLINC: SATURDAY NOVEMBER 7: LOCATIONS TBA.

NEW CHANGES THIS YEAR: New vaccine requirement states that a licensed veterinarian must first examine all pets before they are vaccinated for anything other than RABIES. The vet will be required to charge $30 for the exam plus the cost for vaccines if you elect to add shots OTHER THAN RABIES. THERE IS NO EXAM FEE NEEDED FOR RABIES ONLY.

The $30 exam fee is half of what a normal office would cost. The vaccinations will still be discounted and affordable as well.

GARY NURSING HOME DOG UPDATE: Bubba is in his isolation room at the shelter and is improving every day! He is still on medication and is gaining weight. He's a sweet nice dog. He weighs 63 lbs. He can't be neutered until he is healthy enough. Doesn’t he already look better? The light is starting to come back in his eyes ❤️

UPDATE ON THE GARY NURSING HOME DOG:

Now called Bubba!

He does NOT have a rescue placement at this time. Bubba is a sick fellow and needs to be in the hospital for a week! 🤒

Bubba was sent to the vet by the McDowell County Humane Society today. He was heartworm and Lyme negative. He has a bad skin infection and severe upper respiratory tract infection. He will be hospitalized for one week. He can't come into the shelter until he's not contagious and put all of our dogs at risk.

We are asking if anyone would like to donate for his care to give to Beckley Veterinary Hospital. You can call them directly and give with a credit or debit card: 13042554159. Please mention that it’s for Bubba. Thank you!
