Air quality affects your pets too! Please keep your pets indoors as much as possible until the air clears. Most at risk are smooshy face breeds such as pugs and Boston terriers. Seniors, babies and those with heart and lung disease are also at risk! Lets watch out for each other and all our furry family members.🐾

As the celebrations for the Fourth of July kick off, we just wanted to remind everyone of a few tips to keep your fur babies safe and comfortable:

Keeping your pets inside is the best way to keep them safe and calm during the celebratory fireworks. A secluded, quiet and dark room is best to help your baby feel more comfortable with doors shut and windows closed. Having white noise like a fan, tv or radio on can help muffle the sounds.

Make sure your pet has an identification tag on them in case they do happen to escape.

Having an interactive toy or treat puzzle is a great way to keep your pet distracted.

Exercise your dog beforehand to get them worn out and tired so they can take a good nap during the fireworks.

Keep your pets away from all fireworks (including sparklers/pop its) to prevent any injuries.

We hope everyone has a very happy and safe Fourth of July!
