🛑 Before you stick a round bale out in your 🐴 horse's pasture... Please DON'T.
*This is NOT a message NOT to BUY round bales. Just take 5 minutes and...

Read 👇🏼this👇🏼 FIRST!

First of all, there is good quality ⭐ hay, and there is NOT-so-good quality hay.
Of course, BAD quality hay can make horses sick 🤢, BUT... GOOD quality hay can also make them sick. 😒
What do I mean by that?⁉️

☝🏼 If you give your horses ENDLESS access to a good quality dry roughage, such as a grass hay, especially if their pasture grass is getting sparse, they will eat it ENDLESSLY, not taking enough breaks for water, increasing the possibility of impaction colic. 🙀
Add to that, ✌🏼the cooler weather 🌬️ often makes them drink less. (Double whammy!) AND 👌🏼 with the seasonal change🍂🍁, most owners will be giving their herd a dewormer. (TRIPLE whammy!) 🙈🙉🙊

Unfortunately, this is why we call October 🎃 "Colic Month." ☠️

I realize round bales are much more cost 💲 effective than square bales, but there ARE ways to give them to your equids SAFELY. ⛑️
1. Keep your GOOD QUALITY round bales protected from the ⛈️ weather, and portion it out in pieces daily, OR
2. Put a giant NIBBLE net on 1 bale at a time and keep under cover.
3. Make sure their drinking water 💦 is refreshed frequently and somewhat near where they are eating the hay.

🏇Dear Wonderful B-line Equine Clients🏇

🙏Please have patience with us, as we have switched our veterinary software program, although it is basically all-encompassing, AI compatible🤖 and will make things such as scheduling 🗓 as well as client communication 🤳 WAY smoother, it is a HUGE learning curve, ESPECIALLY for non-techy folks like ME!🫣😵‍💫🤯
