🎶 Desde septiembre se siente que viene diciembre… 🎄😅

Entre groomers casi se ha convertido en un chiste interno: mientras más se acercan las fiestas, más empiezan a llegar los famosos shave downs. Pero detrás del chiste hay una conversación importante que vale la pena tener.

Antes de comprar o adoptar un perro, especialmente uno con un pelaje de alto mantenimiento como muchos Doodles, es importante investigar qué cuidados va a necesitar y preguntarnos con sinceridad: ¿tengo el tiempo y la disposición para mantener este pelaje durante toda su vida?

Tener un perro es mucho más que darle comida, agua y amor. También significa cuidar su piel, sus uñas, sus dientes y su pelo, incluso cuando la vida se pone ocupada.

Y queremos decir algo importante: entendemos perfectamente que no todas las familias pueden costear un grooming profesional con frecuencia. ❤️ Eso no te hace un mal dueño. Pero sí significa que parte de ese mantenimiento tendrá que hacerse en casa.

Con las herramientas adecuadas, un buen cepillo y peine, un poco de conocimiento, tiempo y constancia, es totalmente posible mantener a tu perrito cómodo entre visitas al groomer. Y si no sabes cómo hacerlo, pregúntanos. Preferimos mil veces enseñarte qué herramientas necesitas y cómo mantener su pelaje que tener que raparlo porque los nudos ya no nos dejan otra opción.

Al final no se trata de tener siempre al perro con el corte perfecto. Se trata de que esté cómodo, saludable y libre de dolor. 🐶💚

Porque el grooming no es solamente estética. También es parte de cuidarlos.

Milo’s first grooming appointment… one of the most important milestones in a dog’s life. 💚🐾

It’s easy to think the first groom is just about getting them clean or trimmed, but it’s so much more than that.

This first experience helps shape how a puppy will feel about grooming for years to come. It teaches them that the sounds, the tools, the bath, and the dryer aren’t something to fear. When done with patience, kindness, and lots of positive reinforcement, it builds confidence and sets them up for a lifetime of stress-free grooming.

Brownie may not always leave with the fluffiest haircut or the fanciest style, and that’s okay. 💚🐾

Dexter 🤍

183 appointments.

Two battles with cancer. Countless tail wags. More kisses than we could ever count.

We were there through the good days and the hard ones. Dexter met six of our groomers, made the trip from Hallandale to Sunrise to visit us at the salon, and even became friends with our four-legged hostesses, Thelma and Louise.

Last weekend, we said goodbye to one of our own.

Fridays won’t feel quite the same without you, Dexter. But loving dogs also means finding the courage to let them go when the time comes. We take comfort in knowing that your body is finally at peace. No more pain. No more treatments. No more disease. Just rest, comfort, and all the joy you always deserved.

To Susy, Dexter’s favorite human: we walk this grieving journey with you. Our hearts, our phones, and our doors will always be open to you. Please know that you gave Dexter a beautiful life filled with love, devotion, and dignity. You never stopped fighting for him, and he couldn’t have asked for a better person by his side.

Thank you for your trust, your friendship, and for allowing us to love Dexter for all these years.
