Planning a summer getaway with your pet? A little preparation can go a long way toward keeping your trip safe and stress-free.

Before you hit the road, make sure you've packed the essentials:
→ Enough food for the entire trip (plus extra in case of delays)
→ Any medications and supplements your pet takes regularly
→ Water bowls and water bottles
→ Leash, harness, collar, and ID tags
→ Copies of vaccination records and important medical information
→ Comfort items like a favorite bed, blanket, or toy
→ Waste bags, litter, or other daily care supplies

It's also a good idea to research nearby veterinary hospitals and emergency clinics at your destination before you travel.

A little planning today can help you focus on making memories tomorrow! What is the one item you never forget when traveling with your pet? Tell us below!
