💙 An Important Update from Emerald Skies Pomskies 💙
After a great deal of consideration, I’ve made the difficult decision that our current planned litters will be the *last Emerald Skies Pomsky litters until at least 2029*.
My primary career and service commitments are entering a season that will require an extraordinary amount of my time, focus, and availability. Ethical breeding has always meant more to me than simply producing beautiful puppies—it means being fully present for my dogs, my puppies, and the families who trust me with them. If I cannot give this program the level of attention it deserves, then the responsible choice is to pause.
🐾 What does this mean for Emerald Skies?
I will continue maintaining my qualifications and licensing with the American Pomsky Kennel Club, and the State of South Carolina, preserving the opportunity to restart the Emerald Skies breeding program in the future when life allows me to give it the time and dedication it requires.
As Sidon and Draco reach maturity, I also plan to complete their appropriate health and behavioral evaluations. Provided they meet the standards I expect from my breeding dogs, they may remain available as potential studs to help support responsible Pomsky breeding programs throughout the Southeastern United States.
Most importantly, all of my females will be permanently retired from breeding. With the intensity of my upcoming service obligations, I do not believe leaving them intact is in their best interest. Their health, safety, and quality of life come before preserving future breeding possibilities. I will consider adoption applications for all of them, including Mipha, Zelda, and Riju, but we will be picky on where they go. Family and close friends who keep in touch would be highly encouraged.
This decision is bittersweet. I am incredibly proud of the puppies Emerald Skies has brought into the world and deeply grateful to every family who has trusted me to raise a puppy that became part of theirs. I will remain as available as I can be for any of you to continue to provide that Lifetime Breeder Support. If it takes me longer than normal to respond, please be patient, I might be on weird shifts or working very long hours where I can't answer for awhile.💙
For now, we are going to pour everything we have into these final litters and make them something truly special.
This isn't necessarily goodbye to Emerald Skies Pomskies—it's simply “until the skies clear again.” 🌌🐾
