❤️ Chad is ready for a home❤️
Last October, Dr. Askins and his wife found this tiny kitten alone outside of a local restaurant after what looked like being struck by a car. He was only about 4 weeks old and had a broken tail and a severely degloved jaw.
They brought him home that day, and he’s been living with their family while recovering. After multiple surgeries, months of healing, and a whole lot of love, we’re so happy to say that Chad has made an incredible recovery.
Today, despite his jaw injury, he eats completely normally and is finally ready to find a forever family of his own. We estimate him to be about 10 months old and is definitely on the smaller side. A few things about Chad:
🐾 He’s playful, curious, but loves lounging quietly in his den. His one funny quirk is that he doesn’t jump. We think his tail injury affects his balance somehow. He gets around just fine, but if you’ve ever wished for a cat that won’t be on your kitchen counters, Chad is your guy!
🐾 He’s lived with three large dogs during his recovery, so dogs don’t bother him. He’ll coexist with them, but he’s not necessarily looking for a canine best friend. We think he’d enjoy another cat. He spends a lot of time following the Askins’ cat around hoping he’ll play.
🐾 He’s not much of a lap cat and absolutely hates being picked up. He’d much rather hang out beside you, follow you around the house, or play than be carried.
🐾 And our favorite Chad fact… because he’s technically missing his bottom lip, you’ll occasionally catch him with his little tongue sticking out without him even realizing it. It’s ridiculously cute. ❤️
