🌞🐾 Keeping Your Pup Cool During These Summer Heat Waves! 🐾🌞

As temperatures start climbing, our furry friends need a little extra help staying safe and comfortable.

🐶 Tips to beat the heat:
💧 Keep fresh, cool water available at all times.
🌳 Provide plenty of shade and avoid long periods in direct sunlight.
🚶‍♀️ Save walks and outdoor play for early mornings or evenings when it's cooler.
🔥 Remember that pavement gets HOT! If it's too hot for your hand, it's too hot for their paws.
🧊 Frozen treats and cooling mats can be a fun way to help your pup chill out.
🏡 Never leave your dog in a parked vehicle, even for "just a minute."
✂️ Regular grooming helps remove excess undercoat and keeps air flowing through the coat, but remember, shaving isn't recommended for every breed.

⚠️ Watch for signs of overheating, including excessive panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting, or disorientation. Heat stroke is an emergency, so contact your veterinarian right away if you notice these symptoms.

These South Carolina heat waves are no joke, y'all! A little extra care goes a long way in keeping those tails wagging safely all summer long. ❤️🐕☀️
