🌎🐾 Environmental exposure — we can’t say enough about it!
The world can be a big, overwhelming, and sometimes scary place for dogs, especially those who haven’t had many opportunities to experience different environments.

That’s why our programs place such a strong emphasis on real-world outings and environmental exposure. Our dogs get the opportunity to visit a variety of stores, restaurants, farmers markets, and other public spaces, helping them build confidence and learn how to navigate the world with calm, appropriate behavior.

When Lucky first started going on outings, he was hesitant and wasn’t feeling very confident. Fast forward to his most recent trip to Home Depot, and what a difference! 💪🐶 Lucky had a fantastic outing and showed us just how much progress he’s making.

These experiences aren’t just about going places — they’re about teaching dogs how to think, adapt, and feel confident in new environments.

Lucky has now learned to be a good dog in society, so now he can happily tag along for those Saturday trips to the store. 🛒🐾

Keep up the great work, Lucky! We’re so proud of you and can’t wait to see the adventures you take with your family now that you are back home after graduating from us 💙

🐾 Stevie Update! 🐾
Stevie headed back home this week after completing some refresher training with us! 💙

Stevie originally trained with us as a puppy, but recently started showing some reactivity towards other dogs. Sometimes our dogs need a little tune-up, and that’s exactly what we’re here for!

While Stevie was with us, she also had the opportunity to work around several other dogs, helping her practice staying calm, focused, and confident in the presence of other dogs. We’re so proud of the progress she made!

At Activate Canine, our relationship with you and your pup doesn’t end when training does. Life happens, behaviors can change, and new challenges can pop up along the way. Whether it’s a few weeks, months, or even a couple of years after training, we’re here to help you and your dog navigate whatever comes next.

And here’s a fun fact about Stevie… she’s our beloved deaf pup! 👂🐾💙

We have experience working with deaf dogs and can teach you how to communicate, train, and build a strong relationship with your deaf pup every step of the way.

We’re so happy to see Stevie heading home with refreshed skills, more confidence, and some great practice under her belt. Go home and show them what you’ve got, Stevie! 🥰🐾

Jax is a recent graduate of our Activate Reset Program. He came to us to work on several behaviors, including reactivity toward people and other dogs.
Throughout the program, Jax made incredible strides and achieved tremendous success. He is now home continuing to work on his skills with his owners, who have been doing an amazing job supporting his progress.

During our recent lesson, Jax was able to work around another dog calmly and confidently without displaying any reactivity—a huge milestone and a wonderful reflection of how far he has come!

🌟 Luna Graduated! 🌟
Our spunky, dance-loving Luna officially graduated from our Activate Essentials program today—and she’s headed home to show her family all the skills she’s been working so hard on! 🐾

During her time with us, Luna learned to build confidence, master her stationary commands even with distractions, and navigate the world around her with poise. She also enjoyed plenty of environmental exposure—an important part of all our training packages—to help her become the confident, well-mannered pup every community loves to have around. 🐶✨

We’ll definitely miss our morning dance sessions with this sweet girl, but we’re SO excited to see where her new skills take her. 🌊🐾 We have a feeling there are plenty of beach adventures in Luna’s future!

One of our favorite duos, Lucky & Luna, are making some pawsome progress in our Activate Essentials program! 🐾✨
These two have been working hard on their impulse control while enjoying new environmental exposures—getting out, exploring the world, and learning how to confidently navigate new experiences. 🌎🐶

And, of course, they’re doing it all while keeping their goofy personalities intact! 😂💙 Their playful, silly side is just as much a part of what makes this duo so special.

We love watching Lucky & Luna build confidence, practice good manners, and learn how to be happy, well-rounded dogs who can enjoy the world confidentially. They’re making some seriously great progress, and we couldn’t be more proud! 🐾✨

Sweet Basil 🤍🐾
Yesterday , we said goodbye to a very special girl, and our hearts are absolutely broken.

From the very first day Basil came into training, we knew there was something incredibly special about her. We had the privilege of training her, boarding her, and being a small part of her beautiful life. Over time, she became so much more than a client—she became family. I became “Aunt Alicia,” and that is something I will cherish forever. ❤️

Her sweet owner loved her with everything she had. She did everything possible to fight for her, save her, and give her the happiest and best life she could. Basil was deeply loved, and she knew it.

Basil, you were gone far too soon. We are so grateful for every memory, every visit, every tail wag, and every moment we got to spend with you. Including the time we got locked out of your house after a nice walk!

Run free, sweet girl. 🌈🐾
You will always have a special place in our hearts, and Aunt Alicia will always love you. 🤍

Hazel is continuing her journey through our Activate Trailblazer Program, and she’s quickly becoming quite the confident, capable girl! She has already come such a long way, and we’re excited to see her put those skills to the test as she begins showing off her off-leash work. With her sweet personality and spunky spirit, we know Hazel has an exciting future ahead!

Oh, Oakley! This sweet, spunky, and undeniably stubborn boy is keeping us on our toes! He’s currently working through our Activate Reset Program and making fantastic progress. Oakley’s personality may be big, but so are his improvements, and we’re excited to see him continue to grow and succeed!

Let’s talk about Faulkner! This sweet boy recently graduated from our Activate Essentials Program and is officially home, ready to show his parents everything he’s learned!
During his time with us, Faulkner worked hard on impulse control and building the skills he needs to make great choices—even when distractions are around. Now, he’s ready for his next big adventure: taking on downtown Charleston with confidence and all his new skills! We can’t wait to see where this next chapter takes him!
