"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams." — Eleanor Roosevelt

We are beyond excited to offer “A Dark Goodbye” to the public. He not only is an own son of “The Goodbye Lane”, his maternal side is stellar. His dam, “Cfour DarkPatchPatsy”, is not only a proven performer herself (175+k LTE), but her foals have also stepped up and have been winners with PE over $100k.

Super NICE 4 yr old by The Goodbye Lane and out of the proven, world-class producing mare Honor This Nonstop, he is a FULL BROTHER to Brandon Cullin’s standout stallion, Good Things Coming. This gelding is broke to death and genuinely one of the most enjoyable young horses to ride. He has a great foundation and has the kind of versatility you want in a horse you plan to take on for the long haul. He trail rides like a boss and will confidently go over, under, and through just about anything you put in front of him. He has consistently been 2D/3D at large super shows, with multiple futurity placings and a 2D win at the Fast Ca$h Barrel Bash Futurity.
He can occasionally be a little scatterbrained — not from a lack of ability, but because he genuinely wants to over-please his rider. I believe he just needs a little more time and confidence, I believe this horse is going to really come together. He is not a cull, & is going to be a really solid derby/open horse in his future.
Currently enrolled in:

• Pink Buckle
• Ruby Buckle
• Triple Crown
• Tomorrow’s Legends
• Future Fortunes

He is not a horse that has to sell. We have several young horses coming up and only so much room on the trailer. I plan to continue hauling him and exposing him to rodeos over the winter, so he will continue to gain experience and mileage. This is the kind of young horse that I believe will become more valuable with time and experience.

A Dark Goodbye put in the work and showed up all weekend long — Top 5 Friday and Sunday and he ended up 3rd in The Legacy Chaser Futurity on Saturday 🖤 3 different arenas & 3 checks 🤠

We’re still fine-tuning a few things after some time off, but this weekend was a great reminder of what this horse is capable of. So proud of the effort, the progress, and the fight he continues to give me every run.

We’re building it back, one run at a time. Going backwards to go forward isn’t failing it’s succeeding…Recognizing mistakes as a rider and jockey can be hard, but acknowledging them and working on them makes these moments so rewarding. Never stop being a student.
