Wendy started pet sitting in 2002 for Amanda, a friend who owned Gate City Pet Sitters. When Amanda decided to close the business in 2010, due to family obligations, a couple of clients continued to call Wendy for their pet sitting needs. In the summer of 2018, Wendy decided to expand her services and open Wendy Collins Pet Sitting. In the fall of 2019, the business had grown to the point of needi

ng other experienced lovers of pets to give exceptional care. November of 2019, Wendy was lucky to have Kathy come aboard. With her experience with rescues (Juliet’s House, Jan’s Animal Rescue, and taking care of the cat habitat at Petco in Kernersville), and her love of pets, Wendy feels blessed. All team members are background checked, bonded, and insured. We love taking care of and forming a bond with our clients and their fur and feather babies. All pets are different with their own special personalities, likes, dislikes, and reactions. We find it a welcome challenge to see how much fun we can have or just sit quietly with lots of head scratches, belly rubs, and lots of love. We had the absolute pleasure of caring for this sweet boy, Marshall, from when he was just a little fella until he was 16 weeks old and ready to head off to doggie daycare.

During those midday visits, we got to help with potty training, enjoy lots (and LOTS!) of playtime, and of course, sneak in plenty of puppy snuggles. Watching him grow was such a joy!

Our client just sent a picture of this handsome boy all grown up!

It’s one of the best parts of what we do—getting to be a small part of a puppy’s journey and then seeing how they grow into the amazing dogs they’re meant to be.
