Let’s Welcome Angus to the pack. Angus is a 6 year old boy who loves life and loves his people.

Angus was bottle fed by his Mom from a small baby, fostered then foster failed (adopted). Little did they know life would bring unexpected changes far beyond their control. Angus went from a home, backyard and days with his Mom to a small apartment and a Mom working 12 hours a day to support herself.

She loves Angus very much, however she feels finding Angus a home with a yard and a family who has more time is best for Angus.

Angus is good with kids and dogs. Angus enjoys hiking, walking or just hanging out!

I believe in 100% transparency.

Someone messaged me today asking how dire the situation really is—why we’re always begging for fosters.

These two girls are why.

Sisters, just six months old. Healthy. No behavioral problems. Sweet, innocent puppies.

And they’re gone.

They were euthanized for one reason: lack of space.

Intake requests are up 85%, donations are down 50%, and boarding isn’t even an option. Frankly, we’re running out of ideas.

We can’t help shelters make room if we don’t have fosters. There is no magical place for these dogs to go. Without foster homes, healthy, adoptable dogs are losing their lives simply because there’s nowhere for them to stay.

We see faces like theirs every single day. Every. Single. Day.

Rest easy, sweet girls. We’re sorry the world failed you.

What a weekend!

We kicked things off with a collaboration between The Haley Graves Foundation NC and PointerRescue.org (PRO) to save this sweet boy from Davidson County Animal Shelter.

This 1-year-old English Pointer was dumped because, “He don’t hunt.”

When we saw him at the shelter, we knew we had to find him a safe place. Today, he’s on his way to PRO.

Friday night, Waffles was adopted by his new dad and sister, who loved him from the moment they met.

Saturday brought adoption number two, with Nyxie heading to her forever home.

Today, we have a meet scheduled for Ranger.

Tomorrow brings a new day of saving lives, with two dogs at risk of euthanasia coming under our safety net.

One of the most heartbreaking parts of rescue is knowing you could save a dog—but having nowhere for them to go.

The problem isn’t always a lack of adopters or funding. **Right now, the biggest need is foster homes.**

We currently have just **three active foster homes out of six total**. Our fosters are amazing, but they desperately need a break.

We’ve heard the concerns:

**“I couldn’t give them up—it would be too hard.”**
We understand. But what’s even harder is watching a dog lose its life simply because there was no foster home available.

**“I can’t afford another dog.”**
You don’t have to. We provide everything your foster needs, including food, bowls, blankets and supplies.

**“What if my dog doesn’t get along with them?”**
We’ll guide you through every step, from introductions to adoption.

If you’ve ever thought about fostering, please reach out and start a conversation. Fostering saves lives—and it may be one of the most rewarding things you ever do.
