Miss Amelia sprang out of the shelter yesterday for a bit, and from the looks of it, she loves being a passenger princess! She may have been heading to an appointment, but she got to enjoy the long way and the backroads. Amelia has been dog-tested, cat-tested, and kid-tested, and she's loved them all. However, if you have met Amelia at the shelter, you may not see this side of her necessarily. Amelia is very uneasy being at the shelter, in a kennel with all the loud noise and strange faces coming and going, and she is very uneasy. However, if you have just a bit of time to spend with her, you will see that's not Amelia. Grab some treats, give her a quick pep talk, take her away from all the chaos, and you will see Amelia is actually one of the sweetest and most loving little souls; she just needs a little extra TLC to get there. She loves to play, take walks, ride the backroads, have a pup cup, and treats, and she's incredibly gentle. If you have time in your day to come spend some time with Amelia until she finds her forever home, she would love it! Martha had the best dog day out! Thank you to the family who took the time out of their day to make her feel special today. It's families that do this that give our dogs hope. Martha is a senior girl and doesn't deserve to sit day in and day out at the shelter. Today, Martha got to see and feel the sunshine and just live in the moment, and that's all we can ask for.

Cooper wants to know where all the Boxer lovers are?!

Cooper came in at the beginning of June as a stray. Cooper was extremely underweight, missing lots of fur, and had a pretty nasty tail injury that required half of his tail to be removed.

You wouldn’t know it by looking at him now! He’s been nursed back to health and is a healthy boy. His skin looks wonderful, not to mention he’s sporting his cute nubby tail!

Cooper is around 5 years old. He has now been neutered, is up-to-date on all vaccines, and has been 4D tested. He gets along well with other dogs, from what we have seen with slow introductions. He did great with our shelter cat as well. Not to mention, he loves everyone he meets!

He loves to play! Walks well on a leash and just enjoys being out and about!

Meet Toni! Toni is between 7-8 years of age. She spent a year in the shelter before her amazing foster mom came along. She's been in a foster home now and is doing amazing, just as we expected! Toni is great with small children, house-trained, crate-trained, and walks well on a leash. She loves to lounge around and doesn't require much. Although she gets the Zoomies and enjoys playing, it doesn't last long, typical for her age. Toni's foster mom would love to keep her, but due to work and traveling, she cannot keep her permanently. Therefore, Toni is looking for a home to spend her senior days in. If that's you, please call or message today.

This little guy came from Henry County and we needed help to get him the veterinary care he truly needed. Shamrock step up as they have so many times for the dogs that come into our shelter in medical emergency.
