Welcome to the team, Dr. Ivy Sudduth!

We are so excited to introduce the newest member of the Broadway Veterinary Hospital family! Dr. Sudduth is a Tyler, TX native and a proud 2023 graduate of Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers! 🐯). She comes to us with a wealth of knowledge in both domestic and exotic animal care. While Dr. Sudduth will be focusing on our canine and feline friends for now, her extensive experience with exotic animals is a fantastic asset. We are excited to have that expertise in-house as we look toward the future of what we can offer our Broadway Vet family!

Dr. Sudduth is thrilled to be in Sulphur Springs and can’t wait to meet you and your furry family members. Help us give her a warm welcome in the comments below and the next time you stop by! 🩺✨

📢⚠️There have been recent reports of an increase in raccoons showing symptoms consistent with canine distemper in East Texas, including Hopkins County and surrounding areas⚠️

What you need to know:
❌ No Cure: There is no known cure for distemper; prevention is the only way to protect your pets.
⚠️ High Risk: Puppies and unvaccinated dogs are the most vulnerable.
🚫 Wildlife Alert: Keep a safe distance from raccoons, skunks, and foxes—especially if they appear disoriented, unwell, or unusually friendly.

How to protect your fur babies:
💉Vaccinate: Ensure your dogs are up to date on their Distemper/Parvo vaccinations. If they are behind, schedule a booster immediately.
🥣Bring Bowls Inside: Do not leave food or water bowls outside. Sharing a dish with infected wildlife is one of the easiest ways for the virus to spread to your pets.
👀Supervise Outdoor Time: Keep a close eye on your dogs when they are in the yard, especially at dusk and dawn.
Please check out the infographic below for specific symptoms to watch for. Let’s keep our community’s pets safe! 🐶❤️
