16 Days already! Fittingly, Stanley tipped the scales today at 3 lbs! Pups are thriving and mamma is doing great.

The pups are starting to get some coloring and eyes are starting to open. Pretty excited to watch them develop. Brook is doing an amazing job! It never gets old helping to carry on the Ryman-Type setter. One of these gals will be staying with us!

Brook’s litter arrived last night. 5 girls and 4 boys. She is an exceptional mother and such a special dog. My appreciation for her continues to grow. These pups are likely all placed with deposits and a waiting list.

Breezy has flourished this Spring! She is so careful around birds. I love the way she works. Trust is so important between a handler and dog…she has mine for sure!

Cannot wait for longer days and more evening runs. Brook is in heat so getting Huck out of the house this afternoon was much needed. Got lucky and found a few Woodcock as a bonus.

Woodcock! Timberdoodle! Bog Sucker! Night Partridge! Mud Bat! Call them whatever you want but they are still my favorite bird to pursue with dogs. Breezy and Remi knocked the dust off pretty quickly and had a morning full of pointing and backing on these Buckeye State early arriving migrators.
