Archie and Duke had the weekend off but were back in action today.

Archie was a little wiggly while being saddled initially so we had a small session while ground tied. Finished out working through his upwards and downwards transitions as speed brings him anxiety.

Duke started off his session with forgetting how to move his feet. We spent some time freeing those dinner plates up and cooled down with some bridlework in preparation for riding tomorrow.

Got to visit Boone today on his home turf. He's come a long way from the kid that couldn't canter 💖

Archie and Duke both had great sessions today. We worked though sticky feet with both boys. Introduced Duke to the back cinch and worked on extra relaxation for Archie. 💖

Working a full-time job while trying to take on more training horses makes me incredibly thankful to be part of a facility with lights as we start to lose daylight ☀️

Just missed Archie laying down this morning but I'd say all the boys are settling in fine 🥰

Duke just had to check and make sure the camera was on 😆

He and Archie both had great first sessions today. Both with very different needs.

Duke was very herd bound and needed to work off some excess energy. We worked on connection and relaxation then some maneuvers on the ground.

Archie was happy to see a human but decided he was taking me where he wanted to go not the other way around. We worked through some leading exercises and found some minor holes that we need to fill in on his ground work over the next few days.

Both sessions were a great way to start new pony bootcamp!

I've been quiet the last couple of weeks while moving, but we've still been training.

Boone went home over the weekend. I had the pleasure of putting in a ride on him at his home barn this morning.

Cute little Archie arrived on Friday evening just in time for farrier day on Saturday and has had a couple of days to integrate. He is here for continued education and assistance with anxiety in the canter.

Duke (large Belgian cross) youngster was started under saddle and is here for some continuing education.
