Eating more slowly?

“The Little Things We Notice” 🐾
Is panting normal in dogs and cats?

Dogs may pant after exercise, when they’re excited, stressed, or simply trying to cool down. But heavy or unusual panting—especially when your pet is resting—can sometimes indicate pain, overheating, anxiety, or an underlying health problem.

Unlike dogs, cats rarely pant. Panting in a cat should always be taken seriously and may indicate respiratory distress, overheating, or another medical emergency.

If your pet’s panting seems excessive, sudden, or out of character, it’s worth paying attention and checking with your veterinarian.

Does your dog announce every visitor—human or animal—with an enthusiastic bark or howl? You may have a hound!

Originally bred to track game by scent or sight, hounds are known for their incredible noses (or keen eyesight), determination, and loyal personalities. Whether they're following a curious scent or curling up with you on the couch, hounds make wonderful companions.

Common health considerations:
🐾Prone to ear infections, especially breeds with long, floppy ears
🐾Some breeds, including Beagles and Dachshunds, may have a higher risk of back injuries

Do you share your home with a hound? Whether tiny or towering ... we'd love to meet to them! Post a photo or drop their name in the comments and tell us what you 🧡 most about your pet’s personality.
