For the past four weeks, we’ve had the absolute pleasure of having Dorothy as part of The CoVE family! 🩺🐾

Dorothy is a third-year veterinary student at NC State University, and as part of her curriculum, she completed a four-week clinical rotation with us at The CoVE. During her time here, she spent a week alongside each of our amazing doctors and had the opportunity to experience the different specialty services we offer.

Education and mentorship are incredibly important to us at The CoVE. We believe that investing in the future of veterinary medicine means doing more than simply sharing knowledge—it means taking the time to teach, encourage curiosity, build confidence, and give future veterinary professionals the opportunity to learn through real-world experiences.

Dorothy is just one of the many incredible veterinary students and aspiring professionals we’ve been fortunate enough to host over the years, and it is a privilege we never take for granted. The future of veterinary medicine is shaped by the people entering this profession, and we are passionate about doing our part to guide, support, and inspire them along the way. ❤️

We absolutely adored having Dorothy with us and watching her learn and grow over these past four weeks. Her enthusiasm, curiosity, and willingness to jump in and learn made her such a wonderful addition to our team.

Dorothy, thank you for choosing to spend this part of your veterinary education with us! We know you have an incredibly bright future ahead of you, and no matter which path you ultimately choose within veterinary medicine, we have no doubt you’ll go far.

It's safe to say that when your babies are with us, they're not only receiving exceptional medical care—they're also getting plenty of love and cuddles. Whether it's a comforting snuggle during treatment, a reassuring hand, or simply sitting with them when they're feeling scared, helping our patients feel safe, loved, and cared for is one of our favorite parts of the job.

Because to us, they're family too. 💙
