Today I got to shadow Maggie at a Cooperative Care appointment at a vet with a dog who used to be petrified of going and is now working through that fear with her. It was incredible to witness that kind of transformation firsthand and see what Maggie can do with cases like this.

And honestly, this is just one of the many reasons I wanted to join Practical Obedience team.

Did you know one of the biggest reasons I chose to join this team is because of what they stand for?

They are fully committed to positive, reward-based training methods for all dogs. That includes behavior cases like aggression, reactivity, and anxiety. That level of dedication to doing things the right way is something I deeply respect.

They’re also home to the only two Certified Behavior Consultants in the area, Maggie and Kailey, which speaks volumes about the knowledge and experience behind this team.

Their work hasn’t gone unnoticed either. 🏆 Finalists their very first year in the Best of the Bay awards when dog training was introduced🏆 Winners of Best of the Bay Dog Training the very next year.

And one of the coolest things? They train the bat dogs for the Green Bay Rockers ⚾🐶What makes that even more impressive is that they accomplish this in a high-energy, distraction-filled stadium environment using zero aversive methods, something that truly sets them apart as the only team in the area doing it this way.

This is a team that is highly educated, highly skilled, and deeply committed to helping dogs and their people succeed, no matter what challenges come their way.

Big news! 🐾
After a lot of thought (and excitement!), I’m so happy to share that I am officially joining the team at Practical Obedience Custom Dog Training!
I’ll be offering group classes, private training, and AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) prep and testing, and I truly couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter.
This team is one I have so much respect for, not only for their knowledge, experience, and integrity, but for the way they genuinely care about dogs and the people who love them. Their commitment to positive, practical training and helping dogs become real members of the family is something I deeply admire, and I feel incredibly grateful to be a part of it.
To all of my clients, friends, and supporters- thank you!!! Your trust and encouragement over the years mean more than I can say, and you’ve played a huge role in getting me here.
I can’t wait for what’s ahead with new opportunities, growth, and all the amazing dogs and people I’ll get to work with.

We are VERY excited to announce a new member of our team: Amy!

Amy Schwarz - Dog Trainer has been a local, positive reinforcement dog trainer in the Green Bay area for a while. Starting her career at PetSmart, then diving into her own business has given her years of experience that she'll be bringing to our team. Joining our team is very much a "one door closed... another door opened" situation for Amy that we are feeling fortunate to be a part of. We've referred and supported each other for years and now, she's an official part of the team!

The most exciting part of Amy joining Team Practical Obedience is she's bringing a wealth of experience and NEW SERVICES to our training center! Amy will be leading group training classes, including CGC prep and testing to add to the range of services we already offer! We've got a little planning to do, so stay tuned when those services become available next month.

In addition to our new group classes Amy will be leading, she'll be joining our DaySchool Team to start puppies and teenager dogs off on the right paw. If you have goals for a Canine Good Citizen or Therapy Dog - Amy will be a fantastic trainer in any of these established programs to get you on that path!

We're feeling very blessed to be adding Amy to our team of qualified trainers and cannot wait to see the growth and positive changes this year will surely bring. Please help us give Amy a warm welcome to Team Practical Obedience!
