Rita had her second ride back yesterday after almost a year off (no fault of her own, life happened), and she is doing incredibly well! She’s had about 42 rides on her now and learns so fast. She’s picked up right where we left off last fall. She is quiet, willing, and takes everything I’ve thrown at her with such ease. She’s gonna be someone’s favorite horse without a doubt! I haven’t said this about any of my projects before, but if I had the means to she would be a keeper. She is such a nice filly. 💜

I know I’ve said this before 🙈, but she will be available to a new 🏠 soon!

She’s eligible but not paid into 𝙁𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙁𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙪𝙣𝙚𝙨, 𝙎𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝𝙬𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝘿𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙩 𝘾𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙘, 𝘿𝙞𝙖𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙙 𝘾𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙘, 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙤 𝘾𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙘, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘾𝙤𝙬𝙗𝙤𝙮 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙨.

Will be listed in the high X,###.

⭐️ 𝐊𝐒 𝐇𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐑𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 ⭐️

Today’s spotlight looks a little bit different. Honoring our final sponsored rider, Alana Reed- this one is a tribute to her great horse who passed this summer. 💔

Today, we want to take a moment to honor a very special mare, Avatar. 🕊️
Avatar and Alana shared years of memories, countless miles, hard work, accomplishments, and a bond that went far beyond what words could ever explain. Together, they grew, learned, faced challenges, celebrated victories, and created memories that will last a lifetime. They accomplished so much side by side, but their greatest accomplishment was the connection they built along the way.

Anyone who has experienced the love of a heart horse knows that they are truly one of a kind. They are there for the good days and the hard ones, teaching us lessons that go far beyond the arena. They help shape us into the horsemen and people we become, leaving hoofprints on our hearts that time can never erase.

Losing a horse like Avatar leaves an emptiness that cannot be filled. But the years of love, the memories they made, and the bond they shared will always remain. Although her time here was not forever, the impact she made certainly will be.

At KS Horsemanship, we feel honored to have been a small part of this journey. Today, we aren't celebrating ribbons, titles, or accomplishments. We're celebrating Avatar — the mare who meant the world to her family, the memories they made together, and a love that will never fade.

To Alana: We know no words can make losing your heart horse easier, but I hope you always remember that what you and Avatar shared was something truly special. You will carry a piece of her with you in every ride, every lesson, and every memory. And no matter how much time passes, she will always be your girl.

Run free, Avatar. You were loved beyond measure, and you will never be forgotten. ❤️

Miss Rita tore her deep digital flexor tendon this spring, which required a 3 month long rehab. She was cleared with flying colors by a rehab specialist in July from her injury. I truly believe the biggest contributor to her making a full recovery was MagnaWave (PEMF therapy). To be clear, she was on medication, stall rest, and strict hand walks, along with 2 sessions of shockwave, but the biggest changes seen were after our MagnaWave sessions. She had multiple sessions a week for months, and is now on a maintenance schedule for it.
Once her leg healed, I didn’t stop with her Magnawave sessions. She doesn’t need multiple sessions a week anymore, but I want to make sure that she will never reinjure it again. Maintenance is so important to make sure the past never comes back to haunt your horse!

Here’s what PEMF did for Rita:

🩸Increased blood circulation, which brought oxygen and essential nutrients directly to the damaged tendon fibers.

⬇️ Reduced inflammation & pain. PEMF decreased swelling in the leg & reduced inflammatory chemicals around the injury. It also helped to reduce pain from compensation from the injury throughout her body.

🧬 Stimulated cellular activity. The pulses of electromagnetic energy encouraged cellular metabolism and ATP (energy) production. Which also helped to flush out toxins and help the cells absorb nutrients more efficiently for better healing.

If you’d like to know if MagnaWave is right for your horse or you have any questions, please feel free to contact me! I’d love to talk with you.

Sincerely,
Kendra Schwartz

The day this video was taken was the first time I asked my barrel horse, who is a very feely mare, to flex bridleless. To know that a horse, particularly such a sensitive one like Luna, is broke enough to understand positioning/body cues of flexion without anything on their face is a pretty good feeling I think. Just thought I’d share this since I think it’s neat. 😄

Did you know MagnaWave can be used to support horses with hoof abscesses? 🐴

Hoof abscesses are a common cause of sudden lameness. An abscess forms when the body walls off an infection, creating a pocket of pus and pressure within the hoof. Once that pressure is relieved and the abscess is able to drain, the hoof can begin the healing process.

So where can MagnaWave come in? MagnaWave helps draw out the abscess more quickly so your horse can have faster relief. PEMF can help support circulation and oxygenation, which can assist the body's natural healing process. It is non-invasive and can be used as a supportive therapy alongside proper farrier and veterinary care. 💙

If you have any questions about MagnaWave or would like to know more, feel free to contact me! I’d love to talk with you.

Sincerely,
Kendra Schwartz
