Thank YOU all, the clients and friends. Without you and your commitment to your dogs, all of this would be impossible. It was the perfect night.

Our next pack walk is Friday, June 12th, 6:00 pm @ Kitty’s Hideaway!

Dr. Paul will be back talking all things tick and heartworm. There will be a Q&A session afterwards.

If you have any questions you want answered, send them our way and we’ll make sure Dr. Paul addresses them.

If you haven’t been to one of our pack walks yet, now is the time! Especially if you have what we like to call a “problem child” dog. These walks are designed specifically for YOU so we can help you in real time.

• 6:00pm - Meet up at Kitty’s Hideaway (outside)
• 6:15pm - Walk starts
• 7:00pm - Meet back at Kitty’s Hideaway for the climb, talk and pizza

Benny’s story is one so many reactive dog owners understand.

What looked like aggression was actually anxiety, overstimulation, and a dog who didn’t know how to communicate what he needed. From slipping on icy trails, lunging at every distraction, and feeling completely overwhelmed… to learning structure, calmness, leadership, and trust.

After trying multiple trainers with little success, Katherine found Karen, and everything started to change. Not overnight, not perfectly, but through consistency, communication, and understanding Benny for who he truly is.

This journey wasn’t just about training Benny. It was about rebuilding confidence, creating routines, advocating for safety, and learning how to truly lead and support an anxious dog.

Reactive dogs aren’t “bad dogs.” Sometimes they’re just anxious dogs asking for help the only way they know how.

Meet Patti, Bryce, and Ryker!

Patti and Bryce adopted Ryker around Christmas and, within a few months, found themselves avoiding walks, car rides, and outings because of her reactivity. Window barking, reacting to other dogs, lunging on leash — it was becoming too much.

After coming across Up A Level K9 online, they enrolled in the Emotional Regulation Class and say the biggest shift has been understanding that Ryker isn't a problem dog, she just needed them to step up as her leaders so she could feel safe enough to relax.

With the tools they've learned, they've already started building that trust and are heading home with a clear plan and realistic expectations. "It's not an overnight fix — just progress, progress, progress."

Karen got a text no trainer ever wants to get.

Charlie, who she worked with a few years ago, had another incident. His owners felt like they were out of options. As much as they loved him, they didn’t feel like they could safely keep him anymore… and were considering putting him down.

So Karen stepped in.

Charlie has always been a good dog with a lot of fear, especially around people. He’s made progress over the years, but that last 1% has been the hardest part.

Now he’s getting another chance.

This is the start of a new journey—working through his fear, building trust, and seeing what’s really possible for him.

Follow along for updates as Karen works with Charlie and documents the process.

Most serious dog health issues aren't obvious.

They show up in small ways we ignore.

Dr. Paul breaks down 6 warning signs you shouldn’t brush off—from weight changes to hidden pain.

If something feels off, it probably is.
